anyone been to Columbia University Medical Center?

or Columbia Presbyterian Hospital as its sometimes called.   I was wondering how the food was for inpatients.  I have this fear of giving disgusting food and going hungry!

  • Concerned about the quality of medical care? Nah.

  • My H's uncle is constantly in and out of there. He refuses to eat the food b/c he is stubborn, but I have been there when it was delivered and I always thought it looked fine.

Ahem, I heard a pregnant visitor once ate the hot turkey that he wasn't going to eat and it was pretty good :)

  • And if that fails, you can send your girls down the street. There is a great diner on the corner of 70th and 3rd, I believe.

  • My aunt and uncle live in Albany. I think Uncle Warren commented on the food there, too. I can see why you are concerned.

  • I delivered at NY Presbyterian and they allow food deliveries if your doc ok's it - ask if Columbia offers the same thing.  So you could order from your favorite Mexican or Burmese or pizza joints.  ;-)
