i am feeling quite constipated today - anyone have ideas on what i should eat/drink/take? i'm not a big fan of prune juice.... but am open to other ideas.
Try a nice, long, hot bath! It could get things moving. If you, letting Calgon take you away won't hurt anything.

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
Eating more fruits and vegetables helped me become more regular. Drinking lots and lots of water also helps. Eating iron supplements made constipation worse so only take them if you really have to.
You could try increasing fiber in your diet, walking, lots of water. Is there anything that, uh, usually gets things moving for you? Certain meals or whatever?
I had that problem on and off while I was PG - it's those dang prenatal vitamins, not to mention your digestive system is all out of whack in general. In addition to the other suggestions my doc also recommended taking docusate sodium (there are different brand names for it) as a stool softener when I felt I needed it.
Ditto everyone else. Eat raw fruits and veggies or bran. Drink plenty of water and go for a walk after meals.
I've recently resorted to eating prunes in the morning and evening. Not my favorite, but it keeps me regular. Thanksgiving + pregnancy had me feeling painfully bloated this weekend.

Get a handle on it now. It will only get worse and worse as your pregnancy continues, and then you'll get hemmerhoids.
Ask your OB about stool softeners you can take too, but eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from bananas, potatoes, rice...
Walking can really help get things going. I also "accidentally" discovered having a bran muffin before bed makes for an easy morning, so to speak.?
I like the Trader Joe's Honey Bran muffins.
But really, staying hydrated and lots of walk should help a lot.?

It only gets worse as the pregnancy goes on...
