Teething question

You'd think I was a first time parent here.  DD has been getting her canines forever!  I finally see two white dots on her gums.  I noticed them a day or two ago and so far no teeth.  How much longer????  I hope soon, the poor thing has a bad rash around her mouth and now has diarrhea, I'm guessing from all of the drool.  She finally slept ok last night and for today's nap, but it wasn't pretty this weekend.  DS used to sleep so great when he was getting a tooth - 4 hour (heavenly) naps!
