You had kidney stones, too, right?  I can't remember how far along you are in your pregnancy.  I wanted to see how you're doing.  I hope the stones passed without too much pain (if that's even possible).

I also wanted to tell you that I researched remedies for preventing kidney stones in pregnancy.  The homeopathic remedy that is widely recommeded is drinking 2 liters of water mixed with 4 oz of lemon juice each day.  You can also drink freshly squeezed lemonade, although it has lots of sugar.  Apparently the lemon juice either prevents the crystals from forming, or dissolves the crystals, or both (I can't remember now).  It's worth a shot, right?

Hey! I've been meaning to page you on the board, but I haven't been on here much. Yeah, they thought I had a stone around 17 weeks, but I never actually saw a passed stone, and my symptoms went away.

A couple weeks ago, I started having pain again and ended up back in the ER. They did another MRI and ultrasound of my kidneys and said I had a more severe blockage in my right ureter and they can't tell if it is a stone or just the babies blocking it off. I ended up getting a Nephrostomy tube put in my back draining my urine into a bag....they said I could do the stent or this thing and the Urologist thought I might tolerate the tube better. Getting it put in sucked, hurt like hell, and of course just having it sucks pretty bad-its pretty uncomfortable and a major PITA!

You got a stent put in right? I thought you had said you did....when did you get it taken out? How did you get through it, cause I am praying for time to move faster!! Did you have a lot of pain? OH, and did you have to take a low-dose antibiotic afterwards? They have me taking one for the rest of the pregnancy. The urologist told me I have to have this until I deliver and I am supposed to let him know when I go into labor and then I guess they will do a CT scan to see if it is an actual stone or whatever and I am guessing then they will take it out? I don't know.....it SUCKS!

Thanks for the info, I am sure the lemon thing would help keep crystals from forming on the tube thing in my kidney....so maybe I'll try that!
