DS (2-1/2) and I had a stand-off today in the pickle aisle at the grocery store, and I think I handled it ok (as well as I can at 7 months pg!) but the incident made me realize I could probably use a little professional advice on discipline and what's appropriate and effective at what age. ?
Any recommendations? ?
Re: Any recommendations for parenting book on discipline?
I am not a parent but was lurking. I am a teacher and have used the book setting limits in the classroom they have a compliment book setting limits with your child. https://www.amazon.com/Setting-Limits-Your-Strong-Willed-Child/dp/0761521364/ref=pd_sim_b_4
I personally have not read it but my aunt used it and loved it.
Hope it helps
I like some of the techniques in the "Parenting with Love and Logic" In fact, they have one book specific to toddlers.
It's not a discipline technique so much as a parenting style that will set things up so (ideally) you have less disciplining to do. My DD responds beautifully to it.
