I wasted a lot of time today and I'm pissed

I made a fall sausage crock pot dish that sounded really good. I didn't have to slave over it, but it took some time and effort that I could have spent elsewhere. That was for DH and me to eat for dinner and to have as leftovers.

Then I made the cream of broccoli soup I've been meaning to make for forever for DS.

DS refused to eat any soup at all.

DH hated the crock pot meal. I wasn't a big fan of the crock pot meal either, but I ate some. He tried a little, ate a bunch of soup (at least SOMEONE ate the soup- I can't eat it because I'm lactose intolerant, which sucks because it smells awesome), and is now cooking himself something else. Which means I'll have more cleaning up to do in awhile since he's not very good at cleaning up after himself.

Gah.

  • Ooh, I hate when that happens!?

A few weeks ago I made these yummy-looking spinach and cheese calzones. And they were n.a.s.t.y. MH ate his, but I had to throw mine away. Along with the recipe.

I hope you don't have too much cleaning up to do.?

  • I'm mainly annoyed with myself, honestly. I knew as soon as I opened the allspice that goes into that sausage dish that it was risky. I should have aborted then and there.

I'm just not a huge cook, so I was all proud of myself. Ah well.

  • UGH that sucks.

I made that fall sausage crock pot recipe and no one here ate it either. I hate throwing away food

  • REOM, I'm glad to hear it wasn't just us. The blogger raved about it so much I was expecting great things. Um, nope.

I hate wasting food, too. It pains me.

  • I know! And it smelled really good while it was cooking, but we didn't like it. And it made a TON!

Gina always likes soup, but we are dairy free (fun fun) otherwise the broccoli soup sounds so good!

  • The smell of this soup is making me wish I could eat dairy. It smells so freaking good.

And I don't know what DS's deal is. He's getting more terrible two-ish by the day. He usually loves soup, but he just wouldn't eat it.

  • Try not to stress it. Gina barely ate any dinner. Literally, two bites of potato and a single sliver of chicken. Whatever, her weight is fine and she will make up for it at breakfast. I don't give her dessert when she doesn't eat dinner. Maybe I am a mean mom, LOL

  • Oh, I'm not worried about him not eating. He ate a couple pieces of cheese. He gets plenty to eat normally and they give him a snack at daycare at 5, so it's fine. It's more that I really wanted him to like my soup. *pout*

  • Where can I find this soup recipe? I must try it, now!
