s/o - do you keep your ketchup in the fridge

I hate cold ketchup so I keep mine in the pantry.  DH was so grossed out by it when we first starting dating.  I handed him the bottle and asked him to show me where it said "refrigerate after opening."  He was amazed when it was nowhere to be found.

On a side note, generic ketchup will have refrigerate after opening on the bottle but its really not necessary.

No. But once you refrigerate it, you have to continue to refrigerate it or it will get bubbly and explode on you.

We keep it in the fridge.  I've never thought of not putting it there.

i keep mine in the pantry.  dh always kept his in the fridge and when we were first living together we kept two separate bottles of heinz so that we didn't need to fight about it.  i've won now

I don't really like ketchup and rarely use it, but our's goes in the fridge.  We always had it in the fridge growing up and so did DH.

they've added that.....the bottles didn't use to say anything.  I've had many people looking over those bottles looking for something that said that they had to be refrigerated.

Yes, I keep MINE in the fridge....DH keeps HIS in the pantry.  I think he's gross for eating warm stored ketchup...he can't stand cold ketchup.  I think it boils down to how our parents stored their ketchup and the fact that I once worked in a restaurant and know firsthand that warm ketchup can, will and does go bad...sour.

Ours is in the pantry.... My parents never refrigerated it, so I've gone over 30 years and haven't died yet!
