Stupid question- freezing applesauce

This is one of the dumbest questions I've ever asked but I really don't know the answer.  ::First time Mom waves hand::

Can I just buy Mott's applesauce and freeze it?  Or does it have to be "baby applesauce" (Gerber, Beechnut, etc).  I'm just wondering if the regular applesauce is healthy enough for a baby.

I know, totally a stupid question.

TIA

Re: Stupid question- freezing applesauce

  • I use Trader Joe's Organic, unsweetened applesauce for DD. I think that as long as it's a no-sugar added variety, you're ok. FWIW, the TJ's stuff is $1.99 for a 24 oz jar, and it's really tasty. I eat it too!

Buy the NATURAL applesauce (ingredients should say apples, water) and then freeze it.
