Switching Day Cares and Nervous!

I'm taking my ds to a new daycare tomorrow (it's an in-home daycare) and not nearly as nice as the huge - new one I presently go to but I really want my son in a smaller more loving one. I'm just getting stressed out that I may make the wrong decision. I have to decide this week. I guess I feel bad that my ds knows the people at his current place and secondly the home daycare has children from 7 months to 4 years of age in the same room (I picture bigger kids running over him). But a lot less children. Any experience with home day care settings? TIA

Re: Switching Day Cares and Nervous!

  • I'm sharing your nervousness... I'm taking dd to her new daycare tomorrow for a little while and then starting all day on wednesday.  I'm really nervous.  It's a lady and her mom. they have apprx 6 kids age 1-5. A guy that works w/ my dh knows them....  that makes me feel a little better....  why can't we just get paid to be a stay at home mommy?

  • My DS is in an in home daycare and we love it!!!  He gets so much love and attention. There are 3 of them. She is wonderful with them.  He gets so excited everyday when we walk up to the door he starts screeching and jumping up and down.  I wanted a more intimate setting and not a million children to get sick from. :)  Of course in the beginning it was hard taking DS to daycare in genereal but that would be anywhere. Good luck. I am sure it will be fine!
