This is the pump that I have. When I was having issues with supply a few weeks ago, I talked to several different LCs and Nurses at the special care nursery about whether or not I needed to rent a hospital grade pump to help. When I told them the type of pump I had, they told me they thought it would work just as well as what they could rent me. It has controls where you can change the speed and the suction, so its easy to help it to mimic what a baby would do. The only thing the hospital pump would do that this one won't do...is the hospital pump starts out with a quick, shallow suck (just like a baby would) and then automatically switch to a slower, deeper suck (just like a baby would). With this pump you have to just change the speed/suction mannually, but its not difficult.
Thanks for the help, MrsJones.
BTW, I did find the $111 one. Yay.
