There are a lot of us who are just getting back from Thanksgiving trips. As there is likely to be a lot more traveling for many of us before the holidays are over, I thought a post with travel tips might be useful. If anyone has any great tricks for making travel easier, I would love to hear them.
Here's mine:
I pack her PJs and other bedtime related items (tooth brush, wash cloth, hair brush, lovey, blanket) in the diaper bag or somewhere else easily accessible. Being able to put her immediately to bed once we reach our destination is a huge help. Even if we plan to arrive before bedtime, I tuck the PJs in the diaper bag, just in case.
Last night, we got home much later than we had hoped (2am). I had already changed her into her sleeper when we stopped for gas, so when we got home, I was able to put her right to bed with her elephant and blanket. Much, much easier than hunting through all our stuff looking for those things.
