finger-sucking. HELP

My DS sucks his fingers and we don't want him to. We'd rather he use the pacifier so that it will be easier to wean of the paci later. For those of you who have had similar situations, what did you do? What worked for you? TIA

    I would assume he'll stop doing it way before you have time to worry about it.  It's pretty normal for kiddos to do stuff like that without it being something worrisome.

    It's a normal stage of self-exploration. Just ride it out.

    Actually, I found finger sucking to be easier to wean than a paci.  They simply grow out of it.

    We are thrilled that DS sucks his fingers rather than a paci.  We are not worried at all, it is totally normal
