DS pulled himself up on our laundry basket today (with me holding the basket firmly on the ground)! I can tell he definitely still needs to learn that it's just as important to hold onto whatever he uses to pull himself up though. My question: is it common for babies to pull themselves up before crawling? I know cruising usually starts happening soon after pulling oneself up, which, of course, leads to walking. DS seems to be nowhere near crawling, so I'm beginning to wonder if he's going to skip crawling.
Re: AW: DS pulled himself up! - and a question
My DD did things a little backwards, too. She could pull herself up, got from all fours to sitting, and could stand unassisted and even "cruise" a little tiny bit, all before she started crawling.
Don't worry about it! Maybe he will walk and never crawl, but that's not a bad thing.
