I have an interview next week and haven't interviewed in over 7 years. I never got back down to my pre-PG weight, so I have a bunch of suits that don't fit and a bunch that are too big. I feel irresponsible buying a new suit when I'm out of work. Yet, I know I need to look professional in order to get a new job.
Should I buy a new one?
Where?
Skirt or pant suit? (I work in financial services, but most places are bus. casual now - I feel like I'm trying a little too hard in a skirt suit).
Re: Buy a new suit?
I'd get a skirt suit ... traditional is always better in conservative industries like finance and law.
Check JC Penney, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and the sale racks at department stores too.
Good luck with the interview!
