Hi Everyone!

My fiance and I just found out we are about 4weeks pregnant. This is my 2nd pregnancy (had a miscarriage in 2010). I told him we should start trying early as it normally takes a few months of trying and naturally we conceived right away.

Our wedding is next month on October 14. What is everyone's thoughts of us announcing the pregnancy at the wedding? Both of our families don't live in the same city as we do so I think it'll be wonderful to share the news with everyone at the same time and having a photographer and videographer there to capture the moment but my fiance is hesitant.

just saw this article that BRU and TRU are likely going to declare bankruptcy. If you have gift cards use them now. I worked for Borders when they went under and the gift cards were instantly worthless!

We used BRU for our registry and loved it but with this news I would def keep an eye on what they have going on when you start thinking about opening a registry.

any moms pregnant with a hernia? I developed a hernia after my first pregnancy didn't get it fixed as it gave no problems until recently I get aches and pain! Does it get worse? Can it become dangerous? I'm almost 7 weeks and my belly looks huge already I know it's not the baby yet I'm definitely bloated or the hernia is getting bigger

Nausea Fix? Goodbye, bread!

Hi all! I have been struggling majorly with nausea and was reading the symptoms board for suggestions. Someone on there (if I can track it down again I will give you a shout out!!) posted about avoiding carbs because of the impact on blood sugar. I have done two rounds of Whole30 in the past, so the idea made some sense to me. Starting yesterday I ate carb-free (well, meaning no breads, pastas, rice, etc.) and my nausea has been SOOO much better! It's a pain to eliminate refined carbs, but I wanted to pass the idea along for anyone who is struggling like I have been. You might want to give it a try? Any other ideas for handling the nausea that seem to be working lately?

Prometrium Second-time offenders (I can move to another thread if wanted)

Anyone here ever been on prometrium before? I took it with my last 2 pregnancies (2010-2011) and I swear the pills have changed and I'm having the weirdest side effects from them. Nothing bad, just odd.

When I took them before, the were round capsules that were clear yellow (like vitamin E capsules, but completely round) and they were oral only

Now they're yellowish-cream, completely opaque, huge egg-shaped capsules that are for oral or vaginal use.

I feel like they're getting stuck in my throat no matter how much I drink when I take them (before bed) and I wake up every morning with this weird congestion that is isolated to my throat (no nose or chest) almost like it just sat there and dissolved. it takes like a half hour of hacking to get it to move enough to clear (TMI sorry) and then it's not like a really bad cold where you can cough anything up, but it doesn't feel like I swallow it, it's like it just goes away (mostly)

Am I crazy or has anyone else dealt with this?

Hi ladies! I'm 3wk +4days today and a FTM, yay! I'm so excited and grateful to God for this amazing blessing!! My edd by my Lmp calculation is may 24, 2018.

We just relocated to a new city for work and Bam, I find out I'm pregnant! I'm just starting the search for a provider and trying o figure out what my insurance covers etc. Any of you ladies still searching for one? It's hard to do it at work during work hours and be discrete since none at works knows yet! Would love some buddies still navigating the appointment making stage if any of you are due at the end of the month Iike me :-).

Symptoms Come and Go at 6 Weeks

Anyone else have symptoms that come and go? Went to bed with extremely sore boobs and wake up having no symptoms whatsoever. First ultrasound last Friday showed gestational and yolk sac and a measurement of 5.5 weeks. No heart beat detected yet. Im praying its only because it is still too early. Dating off my LMP I am suppose to be 6 weeks 5 days today. Second ultrasound scheduled for the 28th and I'll be about 8 weeks. Trying to keep a peaceful and positive mindset since I have had a miscarriage before.

Hi all--so I was wondering as I have googled enough to freak myself out (I know, bad habit) if there was anyone else on this forum who did not take a prenatal/vitamin until they got their BFP? My first I took prenatals months before concieving, this one, not until I found out I was pregnant did I start because this wasn't planned. Anyone else in same boat?

Hey, ladies! I hope you don't mind me posting this. I have a 2.5 year old and I remember being pregnant with him. It seemed like everyone had negative things to say about pregnancy, birth, and babies (for example, "sleep now because you won't be for a LONG time", "Just wait until the morning sickness kicks in", etc). While all things pregnancy, labor, and early motherhood isn't glamorous, there are some wonderful things about them!

For any STM or more, post the positive "just wait" moments you've had! Let's give the FTMs some positive things to look forward to (especially since some of us are super sick!).

I think it's game over for us....

Brown spotting started right when I got my bfp. I had pink spotting this morning and it turned into a gush of bright red. Of course the doctor says wait it out over the weekend and if yadyadyada I fill a pad in an hour go to the E.R. (We are not new to this as this will unfortunately be our third loss this year.). It was great getting to know you all and good luck for the rest of you! Don't feel bad for me as I rather this happen now than draw out for another 3-4 weeks like my last miscarriage. I know it is all part of my body telling me that there was something wrong with this little bean.

Update:
HOLY EFFING SH$T.......

We went in today to confirm the mc and there was a heartbeat! Seriously in shock. I was actually measuring ahead by 2 days. Needless to say we are in shock. My husband and I already told our parents and friends that we had miscarried. We have also decided to switch doctors because our doctor had told me I was miscarrying over the weekend without really assessing me just basing it on my symptoms...(I mean there was a lot of blood and clots but my husband convinced me that she shouldn't have put the idea of miscarrying in my mind considering we had just come off of a MC in May.)

So we are going to try and sit back and relax now and not stress. I am staying off google and not researching heartbeats and size and all that bullsh$t. Just going to try and keep my cool. Sorry for the false alarm. Thank you all for your support. We aren't out of the woods yet as I am still having bleeding but as someone said...they can put a man on the moon but cannot explain early pregnancy bleeding. I feel silly for getting all worked up...good thing we have therapy today!

Job interview

So I am just shy of 8 weeks along, I have a job interview on Monday at a pediatric doctors office that I previously worked at. At this point it is a formality but I'm not sure if I should tell them that I am pregnant. My concern is the health care issue and that I will need there not to be a gap in coverage. Last time coverage didn't start until the 90 day probationary period was over. It's early to tell people, so what do you ladies think?

Not sure yet but I may be out. This woman would be my forth miscarriage out of four pregnancies. I went to the doctor yesterday to get checked out because I was sooooo nauseous. They ran a pregnancy test on me and it showed negative. I tried to get them to do more tests but it was urgent care and they told me I just wasn't pregnant and if I had concerns to go to the ER. I decided to storm out and go home instead and just keep an eye on things there. I was fine all night and this morning except for the raging nausea until I had such intense nausea and cramps that I had to leave work early. I came home and tried to rest. I had the TINIEST bit of brown bloody discharge and nothing else now for 4hrs. I'm not set up with a regular doctor yet since I just changed insurance providers so I have no one to call but the cramps and spotting have stopped for now. I've been down this road before, though, so I'm already not having good thoughts. My boyfriend is coming over when he gets off in case I need to go to the ER. I'm nervous already but I feel like I already know what's going to happen next. Say a prayer or throw me some good thoughts if you would. Meanwhile, I'll be over here praying I even make it to October 6th which is when my first appointment would be.
