I'm peaking over from March mommies and am posting this for a friend.

Hi all! It's super late, #MomLife lol. My little one had her first set of my immunizations today. She took a nice long nap and fell asleep at her usual time.. We've had some frequent wake ups which was to be expected, but my little one has some very very mild muscle weakness and I was wondering if any current mamas experienced this briefly with their little one? It's not anything drastic, she's still fighting with me during her diaper change, holding her head steady, etc just as her mama I notice a slight difference. **as a new mom I'm asking please please please the absolute LAST thing I need are horror stories or judgement about my decision to vaccinate, what's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander, so please be kind ☺️**

My son is almost 11 weeks and i have not slept in my bed since the night before he was born. Ive been sleeping on the couch (which is extremely comfy and reclines, i must add) while holding him since he was born. I did this with my first child until week 8 and then went into bed to co sleep. But, this time, im emotionally having trouble because my bed reminds me of being pregnant and i miss it so dearly. Anyone else have post partum emotions over not being pregnant anymore? Most people think I'm crazy because i, with both pregnancys, have trouble with the fact that it's over and the baby is no longer in my belly. I love my babies more than life but i still have issues thinking about wanting to be pregnant still.

Im really struggling with low supply and feel PPD lurking. My daughter wasnt gaining weight and doc decided it was time to supplement. I tried feeding on demand for weeks and different things like pumping to boost my supply. Now im stuck with supplementing 3oz after every feeding and im really struggling. The nights do me in the worst. My daughter started falling asleep after i breast fed her at night so i assumed she was full. But she wakes up more frequently and i end up falling asleep feeding her in our bed. Then my hubby gets furious that shes in our bed asleep. I dont rememver the nights anymore between breast feeding for 20 min then bottle feeding for 15 then rocking her till shes asleep enough to go into her crib. I love breast feeding her during the day but all the stress it has put on me is hard. Doc thinks i should take it down to 3 times a day breast feeding but i feel i will loose all of the supply i have if i do that. I never thought i may have a low supply. She gets horrible tummy aches with formula- even the sensitive brands. It kills me inside to see her so uncomfortable. I dont want to give up but part of me feels like i need to focus on my mental health too. Shes always going to be fed. I just wish i could continue to keep that bond

Hi ladies...
I am wondering if anyone experienced infected episiotomy stitches and what the doctor advised. I had a bad infection after delivering a d just went to a walk in...it was strange there was just nurses who Skype a doctor. He thought due to my symptoms that I had mastitis so he gave me two weeks of amoxicillan. I noticed that my extremely painful episiotomy stitches stopped hurting after these drugs as well..so thought they might have actually been the culprit. That was about a month ago...now I went to my ob follow up early due to sadly choosing to look "down there" and seeing a small hole that didn't close up and some slight discharge on the toilet paper when wiping the area. The doctor said it was slightly infected but did not prescribe antibiotics. I am a little nervous considering the sketchy region the infection is in. He just advised sitz baths and polyaporin "if I want". Would you guys get a second opinion or just hope it clears itself up? Hope everyone is having fun with their babe's!

So DS is 6 weeks tomorrow and I'm noticing he's having more wake hours. I wasn't noticing how fast time is going by that I'm still in the mindset that he will only eat then sleep with very little alert time. No wonder he never wants to nap. So today I let him stay awake a little longer and he's taking waaaay better naps which should hopefully equal better quality sleep at night. My question is, as a FTM, what the heck can I do with him while he's awake? It's that time where he can't play with toys and things so he kinda sits there but he gets bored and cranky. What should I do to entertain him while he's awake and are there different levels of entertainment? I don't wanna overstimulate him as we get close to when a nap should be.

Hi ladies! As the working moms start heading back to work, I thought it'd be helpful to hear everyone's routines in the morning and getting out of the house. My husband and I will both be leaving the house at the same time so I know we will have to take turns watching LO and getting ready in the morning. I'm also breastfeeding. We are both teachers so I'm thinking we will pack our lunches, pick out what to wear for the next day, and our bags the night before to help free up our morning time.
How does everyone else manage/plan to get to work on time while making sure your LO is set for the day without you?

My DS, who is 2 months old now, has seem to prefer my right breast way more than my left. And this is only at night and early morning. During the day, he doesn't care which side and drinks fine. When I position him to give my left breast, he starts to go to latch on then screams and fusses constantly. Then after calming him, I try again only to fuss again so I re-position him for my right breast and latches on instantly. I know he doesn't have an ear infection or thrush or pain there. I have tried all kinds of holds for him to take my left side including side-lying, football, and even laying him on pillows to trick him into the same position as the right but for the left breast. Nothing works. I don't have any weird lumps there. Again, it's at night and early dawn/morning feedings. During the day, he doesn't have a problem. Anybody else have this issue. What is wrong? Is there something wrong with me? I have been starting to get engorged and had to resort to pumping my left side sometimes so that I don't get clogged ducts. To note this has been happening the most the last 2 days.

Hi! Longgg time lurker here and a FTM needing some advice and suggestions on a few things!

DS is 5 weeks, 1 day and has been a wonderful, happy baby...usually only crying when he is hungry or dirty. As first time parents, DH and I have been able to manage pretty well so far, even through the overwhelming times which typically happen during the night. So far, DS has been sleeping in 1.5 and 3 hours intervals, and with few exceptions, he is pretty easy to change, nurse, and then put back to sleep.

First thing: Right now, he is sleeping while swaddled in a rock n play, but he started breaking free of a tight swaddle. If he doesn't wake up from him pooping (which is usually the thing that wakes him up), he will wake himself up when his arms break free. It also makes me nervous to have the blanket not securely wrapped around him. We received a HALO swaddle sack from a shower, and we used that for the first and last time last night. While it was good for awhile if he wasn't moving, if he starts wiggling, the wings will move up towards his face and bunch up around his little mouth and nose. Obviously, I'm not going to use it anymore. Does anyone have any other suggestions/solutions to what we could do as another alternative? He has a hard time settling without the swaddle and will continually wake himself up with his jerky arm movements. He doesn't sleep for long periods of time yet either, so the idea that he could wake himself up even more frequently is an overwhelming one.

Second thing: We have him sleeping in a rock n play right now because he does not like his pack n play at all. We've been trying to work it into his naptime, but he hates it and will wake up within minutes, swaddled or not. I've looked this issue up on the internet, and I know its an issue for a lot of people so thats why we want to make the switch sooner rather than later, but it already feels hopeless. We have tried putting the pack n play surface at a slight incline, but that made no difference either. This is the top thing giving me the most anxiety because I'm worried about the next few months when we try to get him to sleep in his crib. Any advice/tips from anyone who has gone through this? Its already stressing me out more than it probably should.

Sorry for the additional thread, but I didn't find a good place for this.

DS was born at 36 weeks 5 days weighing 4lbs 10oz and had a short umbilical cord. As we are nearing his two month "birthday" I am wondering if I should start being worried about the fact that he doesn't smile at me very much or in general outside of his smiles while sleeping and smiles due to gas. Should I account for some developmental delay due to him being early? He has gained weight well, right around a pound a week and does really well with tummy time, lifting and moving his head back and forth. I may be overly worried about this whole smiling thing because I want it so bad, but he seems to be reaching his other milestones such as looking for mommy when he hears my voice and batting at his toys (however, I cannot tell if he is just doing this from being overwhelmed).

Does anyone else have some insights here? When should I really be worried? Dr. Google was super mean when I looked up all this stuff, so I am looking for some real world, "happened to me" kind of info.
