I'm a 32 year old with a nine month old baby - don't want to get a "mom cut". ?Trying to stay young and stylish (even with a wardrobe that's covered in drool and teething biscuit residue...).?

 I just got a BFP and need to find a ob/gyn. Anyone have any recommendations in the Chelmsford/Lowell area. I'm in my 5th week and just started having some spotting and I'm freaking out! 

My husband and I are going to start TTC this summer. I'm wondering for those of you who are pregnant, do you see a doctor that is close to your home or your work? I just had my annual exam with a new doctor near my home, but I'm wondering if this will be a problem for me since I work in Boston. I believe you only see the doctor about once a month until later in the pregnancy, right?

 I'm looking to host a baby shower for my friend in the Boston area (off the T please, and pref. in the Cambridge/Somerville area), and was wondering whether people had any good suggestions?  We'll want to do a simple brunch, and probably want to bring small gifts, balloons and cupcakes to the restaurant, so we want a place that would be cool with that.  It'll be a small party-- about 10 people, maybe slightly less.  TIA!

I would like to order thank you cards for my showers.  Any recomindations for websites or places to order from.  I really would like lined envelopes and thicker card stock.

Do you miss going to clubs and dancing?  Well once a month at Revolution you can dance the afternoon away with your DC.  I haven't gone yet...but it looks like so much fun!  I am in the process of getting the girls and babies together to go on Feb. 22nd.  Here is the link if you want to check it out.

I preregistered, but they do not do do any pre-visits with drs. I am expecting twins in June and looking for a dr who is close by (which they are). TIA for any help/recommendations.

 However, I live in Bourne and work in Plymouth. My doctor is in Sandwich and is associated with Jordan Hospital. So it looks like I have to give birth there - unless I switch doctors, which I don't want to do at this point.

 Here's the problem - I've been hearing nothing but negative things about Jordan. A colleague of mine actually died in child birth there... they brought her back, but it's just scary considering all the other negative impressions I'm getting.

 Has anyone given birth at Jordan? What was your experience like? Anyone with a good experience? A horror story?

The Brigham is such a hassle to get to & I know I'll have lots of appointments once I'm pregnant. ?Plus I've heard that you feel like a "number" there and not a person.

Newton Wellesly is easier to get to and smaller, but doesn't have the reputation of the Brigham.

 I am looking for Framingham area home daycares.....hopefully on the wayland/sudbury side rather than the Ashland side as this is the side we live on.  I would love a nice home req! I have heard good things about The Creative Child, but I think she is full.

I'm new to the board and just wanted to introduce myself as well as see if anyone had any OB recommendations for my area.   We just found out yesterday that we are expecting so this is all a bit new at the moment! 

We live in metrowest and while Milton Regional and Metrowest Medical are closest (we live between the two), I'm leaning towards delivering at Newton-Wellesley.  Any recommendations for an OB with privileges there and has an office on this side of 128?   As luck would have it I'm scheduled to see my GYN this Friday, but since she is on the South Shore I doubt she'll have many recommendations for this area.

DH and DS just had a great time at a Gymboree class, but we can't afford $70/month for one 45-minute class a week. What are some independant places I could check out?

My new OBGYN is through Beth Israel. Any comments on the Hospital's Birthing Center? I don't know anyone who has delivered there.
