I'm 10 weeks and had my ultrasound appointment yesterday morning. I know that they say mind cramping is normal after a transvaginal us. I felt fine after the appointment but around 7pm I started experiencing what I would call more than just "mild" cramping. I had just a spot of blood after using the bathroom which that part doesn't concern me as I remember that from my 1st pregnancy. But the cramping is new. It's like like it encompasses my entire lower region. It was worse last night night but I'm still experiencing it today.
Just curious if anyone has experienced this?

Hi All, just wondering if anyone else has experienced having red blood, but no cramping? I occasionally have a dull ache on one side that has come and gone so far, but no cramps. I am 7w today. Needless to say I just went to the bathroom and went to wipe and it was red... I plan on calling my doctor right away, but was just looking for any input that others may have had. I am still nauseous, bloated, and my boobs really hurt. This is my first pregnancy, so I'm kind of worried.

I had all my new OB bloodwork done yesterday. Everything was normal. However, in my CBC I noticed that my RBC count and hemoglobin and platelets are quite a bit lower than they were pre-pregnancy (based on spring 2013, 2014, and 2015 bloodwork). I thought your blood volume got much higher during pregnancy? I know it's still normal, but it is on the low end of normal where my usual is the high end of normal. I am taking a prenatal with 26mg iron (have been since summer). Thanks!

Training myself to sleep on my side has been very difficult; normally I am a back or stomach sleeper. I have also been told by my doctor (previously) that my left side is the best for baby. Unfortunately I've had several problems with my left shoulder and it tends to pain me greatly to sleep on it. Recently, in all my attempts to train myself I have had multiple stiff backs and sore shoulder/necks. I'm pretty good at toughing though the pain but getting to sleep can be difficult sometimes and was wondering if there was something I could take very occasionally to help alleviate the problem. Ib I know is no good for baby and I have negative reactions to Aceto. Is there any other acceptable pain reliever out there? (Still 2 weeks until Dr. apt and I am overly curious)

So I want to have a fit and healthy pregnancy. Prior to getting pregnant I was running a couple miles and lifting 3x a week. Well the day I found out I was pregnant I also had a corpus luteum cyst rupture and caused some internal bleeding so I was put on lite duty at work for a week then at my follow up I was cleared to exercise, DTD and go back to being a floor nurse. After that was the holidays and my follow up US today looked great. Idk why but I'm so afraid to work out and cause something bad to happen, but at the same time I'm feeling so flabby and out of shape already. I want to run and just get a good workout routine going. Have any of you exercised your whole pregnancies and everything be ok? Did you do cardio and weights or workout DVDs? THanks ladies!

One thing after another.

The last time I posted, I was having an issue finding an OB in the states. I found one, fortunately.

This time, I'm having trouble getting pre-natal care in Germany. Last week, I went in to the clinic on post to do the formalities - POAS and get some vitamins. While there, the nurse told me that even though I'm having this baby in the states, I'm required to go to some class about having a baby in Germany. The class happens once every two weeks, and I was able to get into the one today. I had to take my son with me - I scheduled an appointment a month ago, and I was not cancelling that appointment. We've been fighting with weight loss and a food allergy, so he needed to be seen.

He was not having that class. He screamed to the point that it was a disruption, and I had to take him out. I didn't get credit for the class, which pissed me off, because I left during the portion that I was told was ok for me to skip (the how to get a birth certificate and SS number part). I went to speak to the person that oversees all of this, and asked why I was required to take this class when I'm not even having this baby in Germany anyway. I'm leaving next month ffs, so it's not like I'd have more than one appointment. I was told "because that's the rule". I was also then informed that there was an issue with my referral (because my insurance requires referrals to be seen off post), and that it'd continuously been kicked back. The referrals office is "backed up" by at least two weeks, according to this person and a guy from the referrals office, so nothing can be done to fix it for at least two weeks.

Once the referral is fixed and resubmitted, it takes another 5-7 business days for it to "go through", and the OB office won't see patients for 10-14 days after receiving the referral for some reason, which I verified with the OB office. Their explanation was "to verify the benefits", but that seems pretty ridiculous. Why does it take two weeks to make a phone call?

The OB office also confirmed that they absolutely will not see me without having this class despite the fact that I am not having this kid in Germany. By the time all of the three ringed circus above figures itself out, I'll be about a week from leaving anyway, and likely will not be able to get my records translated in time to have my appointment in the states. So, I'll be about 14 weeks before I have my first prenatal appointment.

My primary doctor and I have been fighting with medical command and my insurance all fucking day, and I'm over it. It should not be this difficult to have one single appointment.

What do you take for severe congestion while pregnant? I didn't get sick at all during my first pregnancy so I never had to worry about it. Now here I am almost 9 weeks in and I'm sick for the THIRD time....thanks daycare uuugh. This time my congestion is really taking a toll and I can't sleep or be productive at work. I'm already on antibiotics, but it's not doing anything - must be viral . My RE said that most OTC stuff is safe, but really didn't give me an specifics, and the internet isn't much help. Has anyone taken anything that they know is safe? I'm looking for something other than just saline spray and a humidifier, which doesn't do much, if anything, for me. Maybe something like Afrin??

I've had 2 ultrasounds so far because nugget is measuring behind, but growing well. The doctor didn't measure the heartbeat, nor let me hear it either time. She just said she saw a flicker. Baby measured (5.5 weeks and 7 weeks in the scans)

Is this normal? I'm terrified because of my previous loss and the baby measuring 5 days behind at this point.

No cramping or anything, but I don't go to my first ob appt until 1/27. Should I be worried and maybe call sooner?

Sooo, my SIL is getting married in August. All family is in the wedding except me and DS. At first, I wasn't hurt by not being in the wedding, but now I'm getting aggravated because she is talking about it more and more. Normally I brush things off but this I am taking personal mainly because I am being made to feel like an outsider. Honestly, I am debating even going to the shower and just sending a gift with my MIL. I am also hoping LO comes right before the wedding so I don't have to be humiliated there. Word from the MOH (my husband's other sister) is that the bride wants DH to be an usher...which DH has told me he is declining ("I'm not working at my little sister's wedding!" blah blah.) Anyways, I am not sure how to approach this because I have a feeling my MIL or the MOH are going to ask my feelings on it soon. I know it's about the bride and it's her decision, but I feel totally excluded from the family. Any advice?

Hi there, I am hoping that someone may be going through or have gone through a similar situation as I am and can help me calm my fears a little.

Judging from my last period, I should be 8w4d today. I've been under the care of a RE (although we conceived without any interventions) so I have already had 3 ultrasounds. The first ultrasound I measured 2 days behind, the second ultrasound (this past Wednesday) only 1 day behind and now today's I measured 5 days behind. In fact, I only increased one day since the ultrasound I had this past Wednesday. The doctor seemed a little concerned but chalked it up to likely late ovulation and said its something the midwife will have to keep a close eye on. However, I was temping so I'm fairly certain we had the correct ovulation date. The heartbeat was 138 Wednesday and today was 166 so he was happy with that. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and if there's any reason to worry? I meet with our midwife tomorrow for the first time so I'm hoping she will be able to reassure me that things are fine.
