If I hadn't pierced my belly button when I was young (and so smart), I would consider a bikini. But I don't even wear that normally now so I'm looking for the best maternity tankinis and bottoms. Would prefer that vs a 1-piece so that it (mostly) fits all the way through August, I plan on being at the pool as often as possible. I've looked at Target and Old Navy, any other great options?

Hello
My name is Christine. I am currently on my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was twins that I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and didn't know about until almost 13 weeks. Terrible experience with my OB who made me wait a week for a D&C which made me feel even worse about it and feel like I couldn't start healing. Switched OB's for the second one. Was told I am still low risk and didn't have an appointment until 10 weeks. Saw a heartbeat, measuring 4 days small. miscarried 5 days later (sac measured more the 2 weeks small). That started 3 months of blood testing because I threw a fit that they wouldn't do anything "because you have only had 2 miscarriages and you are only 23". I told them it was unacceptable because they were 5 minths apart and both at 10 weeks. So we started blood tests. Turns out I have APS, an autoimmune disease that causes clots and it the cause of 15% of recurring miscarriages. Since then I have started aspirin. Found out I was pregnant just before Christmas. Started blood thinners at 8 weeks (a little later then some recommend) and have had to do daily injections since.
With all that being said. I am super paranoid that I will miscarry again. does anyone else have this problem? My doctors are great but I feel like I am not as high risk as soon of their other patients so they put up with me but actually feel like I am over reacting. Is anyone else this paranoid or am I actually over thinking this? Oh yeah I am 11 weeks 6 days.

Ok, totally silly I'm sure. As I'm 15w4d along and still am not feeling much movement. This will be my second and I have obviously read and heard other moms on their second, third and so on pregnancies feeling the baby sooner. Sometimes I feel small movement inside but nothing outside. I'm not aching, cramping, bleeding or anything. I just worry that I haven't yet felt the baby moving without a doubt in my mind. I feel things and kind of chalk them up to gas etc... I go to check up Monday. And I'm just getting more and more anxious because we had a loss in August and I just worry that because I haven't felt much yet I've lost this baby too. It just kind of has me on edge.
I should throw out the disclaimer here that my loss in August was at 11w and I had zero bleeding cramping etc... We went to an apt and the baby had stopped growing over a week before that. So my experience with a loss is not cramping, bleeding etc... It's a little different than what one might expect.

Any other STMs experiencing the same?

I had the Panorama done and got results back on Jan 27. My best friend called my doctor to find out the gender. She ordered a cake. We have a small party with family on Sunday during our normal Sunday get together. The plan was that we'd cut the cake and we'd be surprised along with our family.

Now as the event is only a few days away, I'm freaking out! The thought of cutting a cake in front of ~20 members of our family and a few close friends has me super nervous. They're all going to be staring at us to see our reaction. What if I don't react appropriately? What if I'm disappointed? I'm just super nervous about the whole thing. We're thinking about finding out today and then surprising our family on Sunday. My best friend who knows said she'll get a black balloon and fill it with pink or blue confetti and pop it for us on FaceTime (she's ~2 hours away).

Am I crazy? Am I just being a chicken because I'm impatient? Will I be disappointed in myself if I find out now instead of waiting?
I've been feeling a dull (not painful) pressure (not horrible) below. Doesn't hurt or anything, just uncomfortable I guess. Wondering if I am feeling the baby or what...? I have a pregnancy journal from DD1 and was feeling great right now at this point. Thinking the feeling great during all of 1st tri is now catching up to me!

With the baby coming I would love to cut down my hours to be at home more. However I'm the primary money maker, so I'm hesitant. But I would love to be inspired by you. Thanks!

So I am having a momentary freak out...and I know I have no reason so. A little background. I was married and had two beautiful little girls. I got divorced two years ago. I met my boyfriend a year ago and he also has two girls. Talk about crazy! We all live together and it works. We have all 4 some nights. Other nights we have just 2 or we have none. Its a good balance.

Fast forward to now...and we unexpectedly found out we are expecting another girl! His life is over.

But here is my freak out. I work a very cushy easy flexible job and will always be home by 4 or 5 each day. I can take long lunches, work from home, etc. But, I will be the one home with the baby or with my two every night. Deep breaths. I think I can I think i can. I get super stressed easily and the idea of a new baby with two others is terrifying some days.

My boyfriend works until 9 the nights he doesnt have his kids. So basically, a few nights a week he is home at dinner time and we likely have all 5 kids. Ok, I can deal with that. Two hands are better then one.

But the other nights its just me and my kids home solo all night. And its like 4 nights a week. I am freaking out that I just cant do it all on my own. And I an nervous that I will resent him for never being home.

Those of you with challenging work schedules, how do you make it work? If you feel like a single mom some times because of weird work schedules, how do you get yourself through?

I am so grateful for this baby girl, but totally panicked at the same time.

TIA!

This is my first pregnancy and I'm at 14 weeks today and I've been experiencing severe lower back pain especially at night while in bed. Has anyone else experienced this? I've invested in once of those Leachco Snoogle pillows (ordered it online so it's on the way) and I've heard a heating pad might help too. Are there any other suggestions? I've been taking Tylenol to help with the pain too, but obviously don't want to keep popping pills my whole pregnancy.

Lurker here, it's nice to talk to you ladies! I follow our board a few times a week but have issues bumping on my phone so I don't typically post.

Anyway, my first baby was born Nov 2012 with a long labor. I ended up getting pitocin, demerol, and an epidural during his birth. My second (March 2014) was born quick- almost in the car! There was no time for an epi and I had to push that kid out med free!
With my first baby, two days after he was born I lost all taste in my mouth for about two weeks. Then, my skin peeled 2-3 layers at once, head to toe! It was shocking! I had a slow recovery and lots of pain. My second baby I had none of those symptoms, in fact 24 hours later I was home making lasagna for dinner!

I've asked my previous doctor about the loss of taste and skin peeling, if it could be a sign of an adverse reaction to the epidural/pitocin/demerol. She had no idea.
I'm going to ask my current OB at my next appointment in a few weeks.
I would really like to avoid going through all that again, and I'm trying to find out if I should just avoid the meds. I've been doing a little research about it but not having much luck. Have any of you heard about this happening before??

Anyone else feeling some pressure way down there at 14 weeks-ish??? This is #3 for me and I don't remember this feeling with the first two. Its really hard to describe. I have to pee often but not a lot comes out. Walking, bouncing... like walking down the stairs makes me really feel like I need to pee. If I open my legs wide, like stepping out the the car I feel even more pressure in the crotch region. I have started getting some lower back pain. no bleeding or spotting. Just pressure and sometimes its discomfort, but nothing terrible. Does not feel like labor. Will see the DR next thurs, but wonder if anyone else has had similar feelings...

So, I have Amazon Prime and learned that, when you're a Prime member, you can get 20% off diapers if you sign up for a diaper subscription. I just had a couple of questions for anyone who has possibly used this service, or knows someone who has. We also have a CostCo membership so I still need to figure out if this saves more money than just getting diapers at CostCo.
1. If you used the subscription, did you like it? Any complaints?
2. Do you think the price was better through Amazon than regular stores, like Wal-Mart and Target?
3. How the heck do you figure out how many to order!? (I'm a STM but my baby turns 5 next month... I can't remember for the life of me how many diapers she used per day/week/month!)

Hello Everyone,
Joined a few days ago and was waiting for the 72 hour period to be up.

Anyway,

On Monday while at work I felt what my OB described as "opening the gates of hades" blood loss. Naturally I panicked and called my OB and he had me come right in. It took him 45 minutes to finally come in my room and by then the heavy bleeding had stopped. He found the heart beat at a steady 162, My cervix was closed and my BP was perfect. He saw no reason to do an ultrasound as we had picked up the heart beat and I had just had an ultrasound on that passed Friday. He scheduled no follow up because I already had an appointment scheduled in 2 weeks.
I bled mildly until yesterday when it turned brown and only when I wipe from using the bathroom. Today it has completely stopped.

My anxiety had me at wits end so I ordered a doppler but, it wont be here til at least Thursday.

Still nauseous and hungry all the time. My tummy is still plumped up. Never passed clots or any tissue and never had pain. As of yesterday im 12 weeks.

My anxiety is still high.
Any mommas with previous bleeding experience and everything be okay?
