I'm also excited to take Jeffrey to his first Music Together class - I hope he likes it! I saw a video promoting the class and everyone was sitting in a circle singing songs except for one little kid running around - I fully expect that to be Jeffrey tomorrow!

Seriously, it is comparable to nails on a chalkboard. What gives? Does anyone have any experience with their kids grinding their teeth? I think she's doing it because she's teething, but I feel like that would make it worse. I'm at a loss, I have no idea what to do. If I ask her to stop she does it more, and if I ignore her she keeps doing it anyway. I'm afraid she'll ruin her teeth.

I have a random question. Looking to find out when the earliest positive has shown up on a hpt for you all? Is two weeks before your missed period a myth? I didn't get a positive with Evie until I should have been dead in the middle of my missed period, and had taken a test about 5 days prior.

I'm curious because the Saturday before last, DH got a little too excited and well, I could potentially be pregnant. I looked at my cycle tracker app and realized that it somehow was off from my last period (my cycle has been slightly random,) but after some guestimation it looked like I was in the fertile zone, but a few days before I was actually ovulating. Maybe.

So, it's exactly two weeks before my period is actually *missed* entirely. Has anyone ever got a positive this far out? I'm mostly just curious, and somewhat letting you all know I might be ktfu

(oh and after six months of being unemployed, my husband FINALLY got a job. I'm talking about picking her up to run across the backyard to get a ball or run down the hall for fun. I usually hold her out a bit so she's not bouncing a ton. Anybody have any info about this? I googled it but all I could find was stuff talking about running with a carrier. I thought it was totally normal to run occasionally while holding her, it's not like I did this when she was tiny and couldn't hold her head up.

Gosh this seems so trivial with the other stuff going on in our A12 family, but if you have a spare minute, help me make a decision, mamas.

Over the weekend, we moved cross country and are now happily settled (temporarily) with friends while we start house hunting. We toured two DC's today and I'd like to sign dd up to start transitioning this week. I start my new job on Wednesday of next week.

Which of these would you choose? Both places we're considering have nice staff, cheerful rooms and some outdoor space. Price difference is negligible.

DC 1: next door to the gym I'm planning to join. Better daily schedule for us in that lunch and nap time are a little later in the day. Downside: they watch a Disney show every day while the teacher is prepping lunch. If it's a snowy/rainy week and they can't go outside for several days, they may watch a movie in the afternoon.

DC 2: only 5 min further from our temporary home than DC 1 but I would still have to get back in the car to hit the gym. No tv's in any room but they have 15 minutes or so of computer time every day. Lunch and nap are an hour earlier in the day, same as her previous DC, which I think is contributing to DD's ongoing early waking. No chance to adjust her night sleep if daytime lunch and nap are still early.

So ds did his waking up and screaming last night. We didn't give in to sleeping with him though. DH went in first and tried to get him back to sleep. Fail. We waited 15 long minutes then I went in to get him back to sleep. Fail. We waited 20 long minutes. Then I sent dh back in and told him to lay him down(he stands up and won't put himself back down) and sit in the chair. I told him to tell him he's safe and it's time for bed. He does this an has to lay him down several times then ds screams while on all fours. Meanwhile I'm watching on the monitor crying. After about 15 minutes ds finally lays his head down and falls asleep. He is still asleep an it's after 7. We were up with this from 1:15-3:30.

I truly believe it's separation anxiety. He was dosed with meds for teething last night and he STTN the night before. It's so random when he does this but it's been a few times this week alone. Do you ladies think the sitting the chair method is best for separation anxiety? What would you do? I'm happy it worked last night but I'm afraid of going through this again:( we will start with the chair next time. Thoughts? Any other suggestions? Now I need coffee to make it through my Friday!

I need motivation. I want to lose weight and tone up. I have never been good with diets, I have a major sweet tooth. I have been pre-pregnancy weight for a while now, but I would really like to get down more. I am currently around 155 and I want to be around 125-130. I have weighed that before, but I am having such a hard time getting back.

I was walking everyday, but we moved in September and I have no motivation to do anything. I hate where we are living. I am always tired and feel like crap. I hate how certain clothes for me and I just want to be happy with my body. Certain things fit a little better since giving birth, but I had a c-section and I have the loose skin. I know that is going to be my major challenge.

Advice, tips? I don't have the extra money to start a program or anything. Should I be walking and watching what I eat?

Ds is 17 months old. He didn't STTN until 11 months old with no sleep training. We moved a month ago and his schedule has changed plus he was sick over Christmas. This week he has not been going down in his crib. He will either stand up as soon as we put him down and scream or fall asleep then wake up a few hours later and refuse to go back to sleep without DH or me. DH let him CIO for 30 minutes on Monday for his nap but he just screamed the whole time then slept two hours on my DH after that. He's never been like this and has always gone back down. We have put him in be with us at times when he wakes up at 5am to get him to sleep longer but it is rare. He's been getting worse about his sleep since our move but nothing like this. And the cry is more like he's terrified not just wanting us to come back but we have to come back. Any ideas? Wait it out? What can we do? I'm a zombie at work and we both need sleep!

The past week or so DD has been super interested in my and DH's cups, you know, the ones without lids! We really don't have any "real" lidless cups for her yet. But I managed to find a smaller plastic cup DH's got free from work as a promotion. She does ok with it. Not great. But ok.

I really need to get her some of her own! She currently uses the Playtex Little Grippers. See picture below. I've liked them so far becasue they are for the most part spill proof. And I like that the lids are interchangable (spout, straw, and spountless cup). She currently uses the spout for water and the straw for milk. No reason for the distintion, that's just what I did when I started introducing WCM. I haven't got anty of the spoutless ones yet.

Anyway ...

Is anyone's LOs showing interest in lidless cups yet? Debating if I should get a few of the spouless lids for her cups (they look like lids for travel coffee cups). Or if I should get a pack of cheap plastic lidless cups for her to practice with? I also vagely remember folks talking about a lidless cup that was angled so it made drinking easier (since they could see the fluid). But I can't remember what it was called?

I was fairly active here for a few months shortly after we all had our babies. @BPaws *might* remember me. Boy, this place (meaning A12. I'm fairly active on Jan 14 now) is different now! Anyhow, I was thinking I might join back in with you all if you'll have me. Not sure how well this will work out considering I'm due with #2 pretty much any day now but I'll give it a shot. So to re-intro. I'm soon to have 2 LO's. DD is obviously 17 months old, and what brought me out of lurkdom and onto the TB boards. Lo #2 should be a DS or we will all be really surprised. I am a SAHM. I love to cook and I generally don't start a lot of threads but rather comment and provide support. Have any questions, ask away.
