My house smells weird.

My parents had a ton of their furniture sent to us. This is one of the things H is PO'd about. Anyway, their house smells like an antique store. So now our upstairs smells like an antique store. I cleaned everything super well with pledge and it didn't smell for a day. But, now it smells again. Plus the old lady that lived here before us was a perfume hoar.

I bought some wax melter thingies at Target. Here's my question, should I dump it every other day or so and put a different smell in it? I don't smell the wax melter thing anymore, it's back to pets, old lady perfume, and antiques.

I must get my house to smell nice!

I am starting to get a bit bitter about this "holliday". Because I know the day will be no different for me. I will be getting up whild DH sleeps and I will doall the same work that I do every other day. And to top it off I probably won't even get a card. ::insert sad face::

We put a second offer on a house yesterday! I am so hoping the seller accepts. I am so ready to get out of this rental with 916639 steps and PITA laundry facilities and ready to own my own house again!

My aunt called me last night and said that my mom asked her to help us look at some places. So my aunt told me she had seen 2 awesome places and said for me to make arrangement with our realator to see them. I was checking them out online and one of them is BE A U TI FULL! And they are only asking 72,000 for it. Fingers crossed. We could be out of this apartment in a few months!

The weather has been so nice this past week, DH and I have made it a point to spend as much time outside with the girls. Summer is so short we have to make the most of it, YKWIM? While I appreciate the fresh air and the extra workout, I am ready for a break. Thank goodness the next few days are going to be cooler and rainy!

We found a swing set at menard's for just below 800. It has a slide, a few swings, rock climber and a shaded fort platform thingy. I know it's not the price you were looking for but it really is their best price and the set is really cool.

I saw in the randoms post, Sophia's sleep is still out of wack?? What's going on with her naps, is she napping at all? I was actually going to post to you yesterday and ask if she was straightened out yet.

M's sleep has been THE WORST, and I can't take it. It's like she thinks she doesn't need sleep, period. She is staying up late, getting up early, and not settling down for a nap. We had two days this week with no nap at all - which NEVER happens - and I am about to lose my sh!t over the whole thing.

I keep thinking it's a phase, but I'm terrified that this will still be going on when the baby gets here, and that I will never ever get to sleep again. I am feeling like a zombie already.

I think I've mentioned this before, but I really hate vacuuming. I love the satisfaction of a clean floor afterwards but I hate the act of vacuuming. I'm also a giftcard hoarder, I like to save them all for something I really want and that is just what I did.... I ordered myself a robot vacuum! It isn't a fancy $400-$600 model so I wasn't sure how well it was going to work. Well, I busted it out this morning and I LOVE it!!!!! DD and the cat were running around the house like the thing was chasing them all morning, it was hilarous.

So here I am drinking coffee and watching it clean my floors! So happy!

So far... I highly recommend one of these for you all! Except Duff, because she really likes to vacuum and I wouldn't want to take her joy away.

For meals at home, or when visiting relatives....

What's your expectation for LO to stay at the table during meals? Especially once he or she has eaten and the meal is basically over? Do you have a time limit that you try to force him or her to "participate" in the meal, or do you let them get down and go as soon as behavior becomes undesirable/distracting for the other people trying to eat?

My pregnancy boobs are now sore to the touch -- pregnancy related as I really, really didn't have much BM left.

I would have been 8 weeks this week but started bleeding heavily this morning and went to ER and they confirmed it. It stopped progressing at 5 weeks. Trying to tell myself that the pregnancy wasn't viable from the beginning but heartbroken nonetheless. Very sad but doing my best to focus on all the joy my little Max brings me instead of focusing on the loss. But easier said then done.

My MIL usually keeps her opinions to herself.

But, there are these rules that we are supposed to follow when naming a Jewish baby. When picking the names of our kids, she actually has an opinion. Anyway, I told her our girl name was Ellie and it would be short for Elizabeth. Elizabeth was my middle name before I was married. IMO, it's honoring my mom more than anything because she chose the name for me. In turn I dropped it to have my maiden name as my middle name. So, I'm really not naming baby after myself. Elizabeth hasn't been part of my name for almost 6 years.

I don't think I really care about these naming rules she talks about. I'm over it. Dh and I like Ellie and that is that.

Am I being a grouchy pregnant lady?

I still think Sophia needs a little work but our last outing wasn't too bad. We still have to eat quickly and go before rush hour.

I think going out to eat is the one thing I miss the most pre baby.

My mother has been asking for YEARS to have photos of her children and grandchildren. Well...we finally did it!
Here are some of the best. Lydia wasn't very happy because she wanted to see the ducks in the pond...but hey...she's a toddler! Haha!
I plan to frame them and put them on her wall when she isn't looking (my brother is going to take her outside and distract her).

Griff.in Jame.es arrived at 11:55 am today via RCS. He's 7 lb 11 oz and 18 3/4 inches. Full head of dark brown hair and totally adorable.

The doc I was nervous about did a great job! Everything went super smooth and I'm not even in a lot of pain. He started crying before he was fully out. He's nursing like crazy already! Big Bro did great with him, very curious and gentle. But, I think he liked the new toys we bought him from lil bro better

Couldn't have asked for a better day!! I feel so much better than last time. If I figure out how to post a pic, I will try!

Update/Sleep Help (PIP!!)

Nate has been being such a good baby and really Scott has been pretty doing good with the transition. He did fuss this afternoon until I picked him up while I was simultaneously nursing Nate. Felt like a crazy super mom, juggling both kids. LOL. We have a problem, though, with Scott's sleeping.

Scott was sleep trained with the sleep lady back in January and it's been working great. The last couple of days with all the hecticness, Scott has had a regression. He now will only put himself to sleep by himself when someone sits with him until he falls asleep and that can take 30-60 minutes. I resorted to a little CIO (5 minute intervals....for about 45 minutes) and he managed to jump out of his crib for the first time! Talk about terrible timing! WWYD? We're functioning right now because my MIL is home when DH is finishing up his final exams. I need to have something figured out by May 18 when she leaves. I'll have the kids alone two nights a week so DH can teach summer school.

Regarding your post about diapers, I don't remember which ones you use but we normally get Pampers Baby Dry but had no choice but to get Pampers Cruisers. They are bigger than the Baby Dry ones. I'm wondering if that would make a difference with leaks?

I haven't tried the cruisers yet but I wish I had known they were bigger. Poor DD has been squeezing into the Baby Dry.

1. Need for sleep finally caught up with my little late night party animal and he crashed within 15 or 20 minutes of going down. Then he slept until 7:00am - woohoo!

2. #1 is especially good since my dad got into town last night to drop off some furniture from my grandpa's house -- he got here AFTER DS went to bed, and I was concerned the noise of unloading furniture would wake DS, but nope. And we now have a real table and chairs, which means that we can invite people over for dinner without having to cram around our little table and have people sit in random office chairs and such.

3. My dad brought my grandma's sewing box with the furniture. She died over 10 years ago and I guess my granpda had never cleaned out her stuff. I went through the box and had a nice little sentimental moment. There was nothing major in it - mostly pins and needles and stuff, but I never really had closure after she died, so having something that was hers is nice.

4. I will be over-indulging in delicious Mexican food for lunch.
