I’m not from Arizona and finding good doctors here has felt IMPOSSIBLE. Even from a fertility perspective it was a huge and emotional struggle. I’m 37, this is my first pregnancy, and I’m extremely nervous about what could happen to me. I’d like to find an OBGYN who will hear my concerns and listen to how I’m feeling. A real partner that can handle a more high-risk pregnancy and help me be proactive. I’d be so appreciative if anyone can share a recommendation for an OBGYN.

Hi everyone — I’m 10 weeks and a second-time mom, and honestly struggling a little with how fast my body feels like it’s changing this time.

I feel like everything happened overnight. My boobs are MASSIVE and constantly sore, I’m bloated all the time (like can’t button pants bloated), and the constipation is unreal. On top of that my appetite has been insane — like bottomless pit level — and I’ve already gained around 20 lbs which is really messing with my head.

I just feel uncomfortable in my body right now. My stomach feels huge and my legs look different to me, and it’s making me feel kind of gross and discouraged even though I know logically my body is doing what it needs to do. I’ve also had a lot of swelling in my legs which really gets uncomfortable by the end of the day.

I don’t remember things changing this quickly with my first, so it’s throwing me off a bit. Is anyone else dealing with the crazy hunger, bloating, and rapid body changes this early? I feel like everyone talks about the glow but not this part 😅

Would love to hear if anyone else is in the same boat.

Hi y’all. I’m 34 y/o, FTM entering her 8th week. Been dealing with a lot of bloating and just random weird feelings throughout my body. The common ones such as breast growing and becoming heavy and lower back pains, as well as others that I’m not sure if it’s just in my head or actually happening - like feeling the muscles of my abdomen hurting as if my body is getting ready to grow this tiny human.

I also started feeling more fatigue these last two weeks than in the weeks prior. And not nauseous per se, but I can’t smell anything too strong or go without food more often cause then I start gagging/coughing from an ick I get.

Anyway, I just wanted to share and maybe hear different experiences (common or otherwise) that other ladies may also be experiencing throughout their 1st trimester.

Hi all. I am 32 years old and am 9 weeks pregnant. Before the 9th week kicked in I was able to go for short walks maybe 2 times a week. As soon as the 9th week started. I have no energy or motivation to move. I walk up the stairs of my house and get tired easily. Before getting pregnant I was active and working out 2-3 times a week….

I am worried that lack of exercise might lead to complications with labour. I am extremely nervous but I just don’t have the energy to even step out of my house …..

I know it’s temporary, but how much does first trimester workout affect the delivery, smooth labour, babies development etc …

What can I do to push myself?

Thanks x

I recently had a miscarriage and already have so much anxiety about my new symptoms and making it to the second trimester.

I have been dealing with terrible, uncomfortable acid reflux, constipation, and extreme gas cramps. It is preventing me from sleeping normally/regularly, eating, etc. I am just so miserable all the time. And I’m afraid something is wrong? I’ve called my dr and was only able to talk to a MA who said these tend to be normal but I’m looking for some sort of relief from anyone who’s experienced this?

Yes, you can own land in the name of your baby girl in Madhya Pradesh. Under Indian law, a minor can legally own property. As a parent or legal guardian, you can buy land and register it in your daughter’s name. You will manage and protect the property on her behalf until she turns 18 years old. However, selling or transferring the land usually requires court permission. After registration, you can check the land details online through MP Bhulekh to make sure the records are correct. It is always best to take legal advice to safeguard your child’s future rights.
Website: mpbhulekhh.com

I don't have problems (except for my migraines, but my husband did research and found me some magnesium solutions), but I do have questions. When I call the office they don't pick up, and they'll leave early morning messages saying they can't give me any info until my OB meets with me in a month. I'm 7 weeks along. This doesn't seem normal to me, and I'm worried about a FTM pregnancy journey with no contact OB. I asked to switch to a more available OB and the office completely ignored it.

Hi everyone.

I hope it’s ok to post this here.

Since around 4 weeks (I’m now 6 weeks) I started having palpitations, shortness of breath and generally feeling restlessness all over my body. I ended up at a&e, had an ecg and they just sent me on my way. My GP did some urgent bloods as I was still not feeling well and all seemed ‘normal’ apart from a slightly raised neutrophil (9.5 range is 2-7). The following weekend I ended up at the urgent treatment centre (GP’s at a&e) feeling like a slight UTI, really bad cold night sweats, shivering and shaking. My urine dipstick showed leucocytes and nitrates and I was given 7 days of nitrofurantoin although I did tell the dr I struggle badly with nausea with this abx, but I still gave it a chance because we had limited options (I can’t take amoxicillin).

Fast forward to 5 days after starting the nitro I was feeling worse as the days went on my nausea has been so severe I’ve not been able to leave my bed, cold sweats still happening on and off and generally feeling shivery and just ‘unwell’. I went to a&e (after 111 being less than helpful), and they’ve said they think it’s still a UTI as there was protein and blood this time, and ketones. I begged them to sent it off to grow so they did, and apparently it’s showing in my bloods higher white blood cells and CRP. I just feel so ill. I’m not new to UTI’s but I haven’t had a bad one in a while, is being pregnant probably the cause? I’ve had zero intercourse so it’s baffled me how I’ve got one.

I just feel so ill and it’s really scaring me. I’m worried if these antibs (cefalexine) don’t work, what am I going to do? I feel so incredibly weak and ill and I’m worrying about the fact I’m hardly eating, so the baby isn’t getting the best start from me 😭

They’ve given me patient initiated follow up if things worsen today/tomorrow or over the weekend so I can bypass a&e (when they’re open), up until next Weds, but I’m still worrying.

I suppose I was just looking for some support/reassurance as it all just feels too much feeling so ill and worrying the effects it’s having on the baby/whether these new abx are going to make me worse too, and if they’ll actually work.

Thank you if you’ve read this far ❤️

(I should probably add I’m also chronically ill with ME, had it from a very young age, and POTS, so an infection exacerbates my illnesses badly too. I’m also on steroids for life and I think the fact the doctor forgot to tell me to double my steroid dose hasn’t helped in me feeling so ill too).

Found out I was pregnant last week, tested 5 days before my period was due and faint line. Ended up with left sided pain so had to go to the early pregnancy unit, they scanned me but couldn't see anything. Had bloods drawn on Thursday and hcg was 237 then Sunday and it was 935. I'm estimating from first day of last period I'm around 4 weeks 1 day today. They've asked me to go for a repeat scan on Friday just to try and see its in the right place and not ectopic, but I'm still unsure they'll see anything with me being so early. My son is 11, my step daughter is 6, and we are both 37 so decided it was a try now or not at all situation. I'd been on birth control for 10 years and we thought it would take a long time... and 2 months later here we are. We are very pleased but very anxious. I don't remember being so anxious with my first, I'm constantly checking myself for bleeding, I've becoming addicted to peeing on sticks even though I know that actually doesn't show much at all. As we are so early we've not told anyone so I've joined this just as somewhere to get support. I'm UK based and there doesn't seem to be many active forums (I lived on one 11 years ago when I was pregnant with my son and made great friends so hoping for the same again)

Hi all,

I’m currently in my first trimester and before finding out I was pregnant. I was eating a lot of albacore tuna maybe around two times a week I just found out that albacore tuna is actually not good during pregnancy due to the high levels of mercury. I am of course worried because mercury can stay in your system for a very long time so I’m not sure how much mercury has accumulated overtime. I have stopped eating tuna but I’m just wondering if anyone here has albacore tuna and everything turned out ok. Any advice is much appreciated.

This is my first time ever being pregnant, and I am having a lot of anxiety. I don't know what to say other than I just don't quite feel right? A couple of weeks ago, I felt how I expected to feel - nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, etc., but in the past week and a half or so, I just haven't felt like I have expected to. My nausea has subsided a lot, my breast tenderness is also largely gone, I haven't had excessive cramping or any bleeding, not even spotting, but I just can't help but feel like something isn't right. I have called several doctors in my area, none of them will see me yet because I am not at 8 weeks yet (currently 7 weeks and 1 day), and the soonest appointment I have been able to get is January 21. Tomorrow morning when OBGYN offices are open again, I am going to try and call more and see if any of them can get me in sooner, but I am just so afraid that something is wrong and that is why my symptoms seem to have dropped off so much. I am also afraid that this anxiety that I can't let go of, even though I am trying really hard, is going to harm the baby. I am just so nervous and I don't know what to do, I am trying not to let fear get the best of me but honestly part of me wants to go to the ER to try to get an ultrasound just so that I have some sort of idea of if everything is okay.
