Burning creosote chimney logs

This may be a total 1st tri question, but do you think there is any danger in burning one of those chimney sweeping logs in the room I will be in?

Edited to say that I did try googling this first and found no info about burning creosote.

  • My vote would be no. Uneducated guess, though. :-P

  • I don't know about crosote, but my husband did some research on chemical logs to start a fire and found that they burn much cleaner and are better for the environment then burning regular firewood.  I don't know if that's helpful at all...

  • Thanks ladies.  I'm not going to worry about it.  Most of the fumes should go up the chimney, right?  It's not like I'm taking creosote hits off a bong.
