How old was your child when he/she moved out of his/her crib?

Just curious - we are debating on whether to buy a second crib.

 

DD will only be 24 months when baby #2 arrives.  Even if we keep baby #2 in a bassinet for two months [what we did for DD], that only leaves DD at 26 months.  

 What did you do in this scenario?

    21 months. she was climbing out of her crib. i would have kept her in crib as long as possible.

    We just moved DS from his crib to a bed this past weekend.    He is 21 months and has handled the transition very well.

    21 months. I left her in the crib, and she would just climb out in the morning, but one night she said "big bed" and pointed to my SD's twin bed, and she's been sleeping in there ever since.

    We moved DS to a toddler bed at 25 months and he has done great.
