What should a baby wear outside in 60 degree whether?

And yes I realize this could quite possibly be the dumbest question I've ever asked.

Does she need a hat?  I have this one piece outfit that is the thickness of a regular sweater. Would that be too warm?  Should I go with jeans and long sleeve onesie?  If I go with that should she wear a light jacket too?  I was planning on going to the zoo and she will not keep blankets over her.

  • If you go with the one piece and the sweater loops are wide, put a onesie underneath.  Otherwise, do the jeans a LS onesie.  Take a jacket just in case. I always have a hat for DH.  To keep his head warm/retain heat or for the sun.

  • I'm not sure where you live, but I would consider how much sun she will be in and how windy it will be. One night last week we were out after work and it was around 65 and DD would have needed a long sleeve onesie and probably a jacket if I didn't have her wrapped up in a blanket. If there is a lot of sun, that will help keep her warmer. Keep in mind the amont of trees that will be providing shade while you are walking around.
