Harmony test results :(

My test results just came back positive. I have to have an amnio tomorrow morning. I can't stop crying. I know there are false positives, but I have no idea how common. My doctor told me he was shocked at the results because my numbers and only one soft marker looked good for a negative result. I don't know what to think or feel.

    @Slaps the Harmony is a blood test that is still considered a screening that pulls babies DNA out of Mom's blood. The amnio, is obviously amniotic fluid, it's more accurate since Harmony and tests like it are newer. My Dr. said they go with the blood work first because it is much less invasive, then if it comes up positive they do an amnio incase of false positives. Harmonies website said there false positives are .1% which is horrifying, but my chances of having a baby with down syndrome was .14%, so who knows. 

    Has anyone had an amnio before? I just want to know what it was like.

    I'm so sorry.  Was the test positive for Downs or one of the other genetic disorders it tests for (I believe it tests for three).

    @Cryssteen My Dr. has not told me what the test was positive for yet. It checks for 3 types of trisomy, I wish I had more information :( Just trying to be patient until tomorrow.

    I opted out of all tests and I can't imagine all the anxiety and stress you are going through. And I don't want to worry you more but I am hoping your dr informed you of the risks of an amnio and the possibility of miscarriage with the procedure. I hope all ends well.
