Wonder bread coming back?

Re: Wonder bread coming back?

  • @KateMW I'm a bammer all the way! RTR (I say this respectfully in case you fall on the other side of the divide). :)
  • Okay now I'm starving and craving hot chicken...for which I do not have the ingredients. But I did discover that I have the ingredients for cornbread. Off to the kitchen!
  • Loading the player...
  • Oh good! I'd hate to have to talk shit to you all year. ;) I can't wait for the season to start, we have season tickets and I'm ready for the games!

@KateMW did we just become best friends?! (Insert step brothers gif)

ETA: I just found this website...you may have already seen it. Adorable stuff for game day! https://chicka-d.com/
  • We might have. :)
  • Kind of off topic but...

I want one, the gummy worm not the man.

  • @FrankieRokx

Something about that photo is thoroughly disturbing.  Maybe the face he's making?  Maybe the presence of his wedding ring?  Maybe the size of the worm?  I'm not quite sure.

  • I make awesome Chicken and dumplings but never use a recipe use my gut to make dumplings so I am no help there.

Fried chicken I use buttermilk instead of egg or water. It's thicker than milk so it sticks really well.

Beef jerky-Beef jerky takes a whole day to make my DH makes his own. You can buy a dehydrator or use a oven. If you use a oven put it on the lowest setting 200 or less. Lay or hang beef ( thin sliced London broil). Let it cook/ dehydrate for 4-6 hrs till it looks like it splinters when you fold it. As for seasoning before its up to you and beef seasoning will do. We sometimes use dale's marinate.

    Franks is awesome!

Now I need pecan pie it's the best but pecans can get expensive not to bad here because we grow them here.
  • Late, but noticed you you didn't get a meatloaf recipe yet. I have great one that's simple... It's DH's favorite. I serve it with mashed potatoes if I have time, Mac and cheese if not, and green beans. I'll pm it to you if I ever get up. :)

  • @frankierokx It's a yellow snack cake full of cream filling. The cake is really spongey. I heard once that twinkies don't expire. They will stay fresh for years.
Off topic, I know but what is a milk tray? I read it in Bridget Jones.

Mmmmm sounds like my cup of tea!

A milk tray is a box of milk chocolates with assorted flavored centres.

    They are just mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I have about 4 of these in my pantry! I webt home to S Africa and brought them home as ... Ehem... Gifts. Sometimes I am thankful for being an ex colony. Lol. Thank you England for Cadbury!!!

If you ever have the chance to come to the UK go to the Cadbury Factry in Bourneville. Before you even go in you get a big back full of chocolate bars and get more as you go around and melted chocolate mmmmm

I hail from Port Elizabeth ( next stop Antarctica!lol) The Cadbury factory is
in my city. When I was in Std 9 ( 11th grade), we toured the factory as part of the junior achievement program. A little bit of heaven- you could taste anything as ling as you didn't carry anything out!
Mum and Daddy come in November when baby arrives..... Usually, half the suitcase has my Cadbury!!
Was in England in 2000. Would love to go back!

  • The packaging just makes me want to side eye it.

Now will someone explain to me what a Twinkie is, it's in all these American movies and I have no clue what they are, just that you were really upset when they closed their doors.

Normally I don't get all internet creepy and ask for people's addresses, but I am seriously about to send you a package of twinkies (and other fine hostess products) to educate you. : )

A Twinkie is basically a snack-sized yellow cake in the shape of a log or submarine, filled with a white cream filling.  Don't imagine a cream filled donut.  Imagine instead a mass-produced pastry that supposedly never expires.

They are good.  Completely artificial, but good. :)

That would be the best parcel I could ever recieve. There are a lot of American goodies I want to try, like Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Twinkies and Corn Dogs!

This is making me very hungry now!

    CORN DOGS!!!!!!!!!!! Omg yum

They're hot dogs but they are covered in corn bread and served on a stick.

And here's me thinking they were made of the Quorn, the artificial meat substitute.

I feel like such a dumb-ass who needs to be educated!

Also, since we can't ship these...here is an easy recipe.

Order Jiffy mix off amazon, if you don't have cornbread mix at the store, then cut up hot dogs...Mix them into the Jiffy mix, (make according to directions), then pour into a muffin pan. (Spray it super lots)  Then bake according to Jiffy baking instructions.  They are delicious!!

Thank You! Another Recipe added to my huge list! I am determined to try them all before LO arrives.
