If it's between Jacob/Jake and Liam, I pick Jacob.
However, if it was Jacob/Jake and William/Liam, I would pick William.
Do people use Liam as a NN? I thought it was more of a stand alone name.
I'm almost positive it can go both ways. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I was/am considering William nn Liam. That's where Liam came from, right? So definitely could be used that way.
No. Liam is a legitimate name on its own and came from a completely different source than William. While you can obviously use it that way, don't say one came from the other.
