DH knew I wanted a summer wedding so he said he waited until the last possible second to propose giving us only 3.5 months. He proposed in April and we were not waiting until the following summer, so 3.5 months it was! I think I (we) got lucky and all the venues/florists/photographer were all available for the day we wanted.
We also had limited choices because DH is a farmer so we had a limited window of time in summer where he isn't really busy!
We were engaged 16 months. We got engaged in April and married the next August. We had a family reunion that August so we waited so everyone could be there!! It was SO worth it!!
6 months. I'm glad it wasn't longer.... there was a lot more planning we could have done, but we just did what we could. Thank goodness for our wedding planners and wedding designer!

I think I might get the "longest engagement" award... 32 months and one day! We waited for both of us to finish school.
