A finalist girl's name for baby, is Naomi. My husband and I both pronounce the name as NAY-omi. However, I've noticed that oftentimes, people pronounce it NYE-omi. I'm not at all a fan of that pronunciation.
Do you think it's regional? How do you pronounce Naomi?
1.) NAY-omi
2.) NYE-omi / NI-omi
Re: Naomi - would you pronounce NYE-omi?

This. I'm in the south.
Lifelong New Englander: I say nay-OH-mee.
I think it's pretty no matter how it's said, so I'd go with it and not worry.

I've heard people say NOME ee as well. Reminds me of gnomes. Butchering the name imo

Thanks, everyone! It looks like NAY is most popular, but the NYE pronunciation is significant too.
I guess, Baby learning to correct people when they say it differently, will help her learn to speak up for herself too.
I appreciate the comments.
