Chapstick/Lip balm okay for LO?

Yesterday I noticed that DD has some cracking in the corner of her mouth. I'm not sure if it was caused from being dry or she could have possibly cut herself on the endless number of things that she still loves to put in her mouth. Either way, is it okay to put a dab of lip balm on there so it can begin to heal? Would chapstick be better? TIA.

I would use vaseline. It doesn't have all the mystery ingredients that lip balm has.

I've seen coconut oil at Vons, fresh and easy, Walmart and Costco....if you want organic I think the one at Vons was called spectrum and is also the one I saw at fresh and easy

    Aquaphor makes a lip balm.

Vaseline is the worst thing you can put on anyone's lips, including adults.  It ages lips too fast.
