DS has a hazel wood necklace which, I believe, is the same idea as amber. It's a natural analgesic that eases pain and inflammation. Apparently hazel wood can also help with reflux! DS has been wearing his for about 2 months now (he's 5 months) and I like to think it helps. He still drools like crazy and is a chomping fiend, but he doesn't seem to be in pain or particularly fussy!
We had one with DD and felt that it worked. She wasn't really a mess at all while teething. Tried it on DS and he broke out in little bumps all around his neck after just a few hours so we took it off. I forgot about the rash and tried it again a few weeks later only to discover... wait for it... a rash! Will have to try something else since DS is a red cheek, fist gnawing, drooling machine.
We have one. DS wears it when he is home. I am not sure if it really works or not but it is worth a try. We already have the teeth, and he did pretty well. We got it from a website called inspiredby Finn. It was recommended by a good friend. I thought the quality was good. I might even have a coupon code if you need it.
