May 2013 Moms

Waterworks.

We were recently given some 6 and 9 month outfits as gifts. I was folding them to put them away after washing and her current 3 month clothes were in the load, too. Looking at how big the new clothes looked made me feel all emotional, and then I started thinking about how much she has changed and grown already at only 7 weeks. And I lost it.

Then I was organizing some books and toys in her bedroom and saw the book If I Could Keep You Little. Cried again. And in between two books, a card that someone at work gave me in early May, wishing us well on our upcoming bundle of joy. Thinking about that time, a few weeks away from her birth and how excited we felt...oy. Even more crying!

Now I can't seem to get a grip on today. And just when I thought my PP hormones and tears were under control!

How will I ever send her to kindergarten?!

I just packed up all her 0 to 3 and 3 month clothes. Little chunker is 8 weeks and wearing 3 to 6 months. Sigh.

I'm doing this plus packing the 3 to 6 month ones. LO is 12 weeks Monday and 14 pounds. He's fitting perfectly into 6 month sizes!!!!!

Umm your post made me cry. Especially when I read the title of the book "If I Could Keep You Little" and I had never even heard of the book. Then I looked up the book on Amazon. Cried more. hahaha

Im having to do this as well. Makes me so sad.

LO has outgrown the newborn sling in his bath but still doesn't have enough head control to go without it. During yesterday's bath he hung a leg down in the water.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one. LO is just about done with 0-3 and it makes me sad. He will never wear those clothes again. :-/

  • I feel like I have those feelings at least twice a day! Growing WAY too fast!

If that book makes you cry with your little girl, don't read SOMEDAY. I choke up every time!

I feel you on this! C will be 12 weeks on Tuesday and was 15 lbs 2 oz at the pedi yesterday!! She has rolls on top of rolls, and I had to pack up all of her clothes that were under 6 months. Her 6 month clothes fit well, although some are even a bit snug. She has two 9 month onesies that fit well too! Don't get too big too fast, little one!

  • I cry every time I try to read love you forever before bedtime. We decided that maybe that's a book for daddy to read since mommy can't handle the thought of LO growing up.

  • I am so sad about him growing out of newborn onesies that I am buying the same exact ones in bigger sizes.

I also feel like it sucks to be so sleep deprived in the beginning because I know I would enjoy it all more and appreciate it more if I was more rested.

We got Someday as a shower gift. I haven't had the nerve to crack it open yet.

  • I just had a moment as well while folding LO's laundry. I came across the onsie we took him home in. It's so tiny, but I remember it still was too big for him. It was hard to imagine. It's pretty snug on him now. ::sniff::

That was my 1st little moment like that. I'm sure there will be more to come.

  • Yesterday was the first time LO left the house without me (DH took her to lunch at his great aunt's house). I cried. I also cried packing up her newborn clothes a few weeks ago. Who knew such a little thing could cause you to have so much emotion?!
