I've noticed a lot of new ladies on the board recently, so if you're swinging by, you'll likely find this link to be helpful: https://bit.ly/118egbw - It should answer a lot of common questions, plus provide some helpful information. Welcome, although sorry for whatever circumstances bring you here!
This board is for ladies that have been TTC for more than a year, or have an infertility diagnosis. While we can all relate to the anxiety and frustration of TTC anywhere in the process, if you've not been trying a year or undergoing treatments, you may have better luck on the Trying to Get Pregnant board.
If you are lurking, or haven't yet introduced yourself, please take a minute to tell us who you are! How long have you been TTC? What is your diagnosis? Are you undergoing treatment? Any other fun facts? Regs, feel free to introduce yourselves too, so the new ladies can get to know you all as well.
We hope that you'll find this to be a supportive and informative community. GL to you!

Getting the ball rolling.....
I'm GG. My DH and I are both 32 and have been TTC since February 2011. Unfortunately, our diagnosis is Unexplained Infertility. We've completed 2 medicated cycles w/Clomid, 4 IUI's and are now in the process of IVF through a clinical study. As for fun facts....I used to have a cake baking/decorating business with my sister until I moved out of state, and I have volunteered with animal rescues for several years.
** After 2 1/2 years of Unexplained IF, 2 failed medicated cycles, and 4 failed IUI's - our baby girl came to us through the miracle of Mini IVF! **
Hi! My name is Cici, I came off BCPs in Sept 2011 and have actively been TTC since March 2012. We were diagnosed with unexplained IF and an arcuate uterus. I'm currently in my third treatment cycle with the RE, and am planning to do a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in the next cycle. I'm a runner, music teacher, dog lover, and love trying new things. IF is probably the only exception to that, lol

Hiiii, I'm mrs.richey. The hubs and I have also been trying since May 2011. I have PCOS and Endometriosis. We have done three rounds of clomid with zero response. Took some time off and are currently on a Femara+trigger+TI cycle. Actually just got my first ever positive OPK this morning. Wooop! So my first ever 2ww starts this week.
I'm not a very interesting person. I can touch my tongue to my nose? Yeah. That's pretty much the only interesting thing about me. haha
Great idea, GG!
I'm Sun. We've been trying since June 2012, starting seeing an RE in June 2013. We recently finished our tests (my HSG was clear and his SA was great). This cycle we did an unmedicated IUI, but unfortunately it looks like my period will be here any day. Next cycle we'll move onto Clomid, trigger and IUI.

Hi ladies!
Akiesha here, me 34 turning the dreaded 35 in a few weeks. Hubs also. We have been TTC since October 2011. We are on our 3rd and final IUI and I will test on Wednesday. DX with mild MFI. If this doesn't work then we will take a break for a bit and look into IVF.
Welcome newbies and good luck!
I've been trying officially for 17 cycles but have been off bc for about two years....dealing with MIF issues and ovulation/hormone issues. Just did my first medicated IUI last week.
Any newbies, welcome!

I'm Moni- I'm 30 , DH is 32. We have been TTC since July 2001. We've had 2 losses in our 24 cycles. Dx is MFI, abnormal antiphospholipid antibodies, and elevated natural killer cells. We've done 3 IUIs and are now moving on to IVF in August. Welcome to all the 3T newbs!
Fun fact: DH and I just bought bicycles, I haven't rode one since high school...I'm getting the hang of it again.

Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy. Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!
Love this thread! Thanks, GG.
I'm Kristina. I'm 31 and DH is 39. We have been TTC since November 2011. I have PCOS, stage 3 endo, and adenomyosis. Now after two "out of phase biopsies" they also suspect a luteal phase defect. DH has "excellent" SA results so at least there's that. I had a lap and did 6 months of Lupron to treat the endo/adeno that was causing a blocked tube. Am waiting on AF to start my next clomid cycle. If that doesn't work we are on to injects.
I have two fur babies.....a basset hound named flash and a French bulldog named Lola. I like to knit, play golf, and shake my tail at a good zumba class.
Welcome to all the newbies.

Hello! Gina here! Thanks for the thread b/c I feel like I kind of wadded onto here...didn't dive in right away, but after a brief intro I wasn't regular enough to stay up-to-date with everyone. Been TTC seriously since Jan'12 although we were halfway trying (no BC) since May '09. No clear diagnosis - I have endo (which runs in the family quite a bit), and DH seems to be all good.
I'm technically scheduled for 2nd IUI at the end of this month, but I think we'll switch to TI, b/c my RE didn't want to do a medicated cycle. This would be our second IUI, so I'd rather wait until next month (when I'm not traveling for work as much) and get more bang for our buck.
Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility

Hi everyone, I'm Cindal. I'm 26 and DH is 34. We've been ttc since March 2012. In March of this year DH was dx'd with diabetes after an abysmal SA, low all the way across the board, except the ph being high. The drs told us IVF with ICSI was our only feasible option with those numbers. We think we've got the diabetes undercontrol are currently anxiously awaiting the end of the month for his repeat SA. We're hoping to see a massive improvement in which case we'll try naturally for another 3 months or enough of an improvement to try a couple of IUI's. If there's no improvement, we'll probably begin saving for adoption. Fun Facts: I'm the author of a couple of fantasy novels and have a very small photography biz.
Me: 27 Dh: 35 Testing Begins 3/5/13
Six SA's show DH has low numbers across the board = severe MFI
Genetic testing for me = MTHFR+, also carrier for blood clotting disorder Otherwise all else normal
Dh's karotype= Normal!!
Hi- I've been around a bit but for the newbies:
I'm HCTS. H and I are 35. We're in our 29th cycle TTC, dealing with unexplained. We did 5 medicated cycles with a mix of TI and IUI. We're about to see a new RE after taking 6 cycles off for sanity and giving acupuncture a try. I have a feeling IVF may be our next step.
Fun fact: I knit up a storm and specialize in intarsia. I have even designed a few of my own patterns.
Hey, everyone. I'm Mochadoodle.
DH and I are both 24 years old and have been TTC since June 2011. We're dealing with unexplained infertility. We have tried four cycles on Clomid + TI (all BFNs) and three cycles on Femara + TI (all BFNs). And we're currently on a break...
ETA: DH and I have a mini schnauzer named Charlie.

Hi, I'm a lurker thinking of coming out of hiding. I haven't posted here on this board since last year.
DH and I are both 32. I was diagnosed with PCOS with insulin resistance and hypothyroidism over 10 years ago now. We haven't gone through testing even though we started our TTC journey in 2011. Last year we were going to start testing, mainly a SA, but never did. We took a long break instead. I decided to intro again because the idea of TTC has come back up, but it's still early in our discussions. I thought it would be nice to have support from women who have been there. I'm currently on the pill and metformin. I'm also back on meds that are dangerous for TTC so that's another part of the discussion we've got to figure out.
This decision is a complicated one for us. Do I try to get off of my meds again, get off BC, and full on try again? Has anyone else ever taken a long break and decided to try again? Do we have to wait another year before seeking out medical help?
Fun facts, I'm a nicu nurse but dh and I met in college as music majors. Were both 29. We have 2 cats, 2 bearded dragons and a bunch of toads.

Hi, I'm Milagros! H and I are both 28 year-old scientists. We have two of the sweetest, most awesome dogs in the world and we love to travel. I also love to read and crochet and I'm still obsessed with Harry Potter.
We've been TTC our first since August 2012. I started having pelvic pain throughout my cycle in April 2012, so my OB sent me to an RE who specializes in the treatment and diagnosis of endometriosis this past May. He ran all of the initial tests and everything looks mostly okay so now we're just debating whether I should have lap surgery or try IUI next month.
It's nice to meet everyone!

I am KLN, I have been trying since May of 2010. I have PCOS and DH is fine. Recently had a lap and HSG where they found my left tube was blocked, a bit of endo and a uterine polyp. We just had our first treatment cycle of femara+trigger+TI, now we wait.
Intersting fact is I taught myself to sew and I love to craft!
I'm at the end of IUI 2 and AF is coming soon. We're discussing where we're going to go from here and I am almost to the point of declaring financial infertility and stopping treatment.
I'm not open about IF except to a few people IRL but I do keep a private blog that is open to all stalkers from here.

Hi! I'm Goose. New to 3T, but use to be somewhat active on TTGP before Nov. 2012.
Hubs & I are both 33. I have stage 4 endo & adenomyosis. We were forced to take a 6 month break for surgery & recovery after a tumor was found in my pancreas. I am fully recovered & have an excellent prognosis. We just finished our 1st IUI, which ended with a BFN. I go in on Wednesday this week for CD3 b/w. The plan is that we will try 2 more IUIs and then will move on to IVF.

Hi, I'm Honey and I am new to 3T (I also intro'd on the check in today) but I post on TTGP regularly.
Our Dx is MFI and at this point we are just going to continue trying on our own and re-evaluate in December. I am on CD1 today
We have two Labrador fur babies and we just bought a boat (!) to help distract ourselves from TTC and IF, if possible
I look forward to getting to know you guys....I may not have a ton of knowledge to add at this point, but I'll contribute what I can...
My Babies!
Tried for one full year before we got our BFP!
BFP: 11/30/2013 EDD: 8/14/2014
TTC since Nov '09 = 4 chemical pregnancies and a 6w3d miscarriage from Sept '10 to Nov '14. Have tried clomid, femara, injectables. Progesterone, estrogen, lovenox, asa to support pregnancies.
Feb '11 : Diagnostic lap= left sided hydrosalpinx, SA= low (grade 2) motility
Aug '13: Another lap. Endo removed, left tube (hydrosalpinx) removed. Hysteroscopy showed that the hydro was actively leaking fluid into uterus.
Jan '14: DH dx with balanced translocation = high miscarriage risk. Can't afford IVF with PGD
Aug '14: BFP on own. EDD 5/8/15. 4w3d beta 1344.
This is such a great idea GG. I love having everyone's histories in this one thread!
Hi all! Mostly a newbie here. I'm almost 31 (next week); DH is 29. We've been TTC since May 2011. Over those 2+ years, we've been given the "unexplained infertility" diagnosis and experienced two 1st trimester losses. We're currently taking the summer off of treatments, because we really needed some time to reconnect with each other.
Fun Fact: I can't touch my nose with my tongue, but can solve a Rubik's cube in under a minute from almost any location.
BFP #1: EDD 12.28.12 - MC @ 6w3d | BFP #2: EDD 11.15.13 - D&C @ 12w4d
BFP #3: Superbaby born 4.5.14 | Just When You Least Expect It...
Great idea~!
My husband (44) and I (39) have had the diagnosis of unexplained infertility. We have been trying since August of 2012 and have had 3 failed IUIs. We are now headed for IVF and hope to start in September of 2013 with injections, etc.
I am a teacher and love to read, sew, and travel. I love to organize and usually find some new project to get myself engrossed in during the 2ww.
Welcome to everyone who is new and again, a great idea to refresh all of us who've been here for a bit as well. Let's hope we all get our BFP's soon!
