Would you wear a belt with this dress?

I bought this dress on vacation and wore it without a belt, and I think it was fine. I'm planning on wearing it again to DH's grandpa's 90th birthday celebration next month and was wondering if I should add a belt to it. The party will be at a lake house, a big bbq type thing. I'm just not sure if adding a belt when it's already elasticized at the waist would be weird! Also, what shoes would you pair with it for that? I was thinking white flat sandals.

ETA: If I do a belt, what color would be best? Sorry! I'm fashion challenged!

I think a brown, red, or yellow chunky belt would look super cute at the elastic waist.

I am a belt person so I'd go with a thick brown or gold belt. Yellow, like PP mentioned would be really cute too. I really like a defined waist.
