She's here! (Jade's birth story)

A little after writing an earlier post, I went into labor. The contractions were coming fast and hard, so we decided to head to the hospital. I had a section scheduled for Monday, but I guess she couldn't wait until then. My doctor wasn't on call this weekend, so another one had to be called in to perform the surgery. As I'm trying to process all of this, the contractions are coming harder, and then my water broke! I got prepped and ready to go because she wasn't waiting on anyone. I was worried most about the spinal, but I have to say, thank goodness for it! It took effect immediately, and everything was set. At 12:25 a.m. Miss Jade Liyana made her debut at 6 lbs. 7 oz and 19 and 1/4 inches. DH was soo excited, he even watched the whole surgery. I'm resting now, but I will try to check in on the other J13 mamas...
