?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?~?

This is a group designed for all the ladies in the various stages of waiting after a loss: waiting to miscarry, waiting for AF to arrive, waiting to TTC again, and waiting for a BFP. Since this process is such a true test in patience, it is nice to have the support and friendship of other women going through similar experiences and emotions.

- Check in every Tuesday and Friday.
- New members: Post an intro and your current TTC status.
- Current members: Post updates, link to your chart, upcoming appts, prayer requests.
- Weekly check-in's will include an inspirational quote or verse and a question of the day (QOTD).

I look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome AllieSchur, rmpar29 and chknma!  I'm so sorry you have to join us. I hope you find the same love and support we have all found here. If you have any questions, please let me know or PM me!

>>> PSA - To those ladies new to Fertility Friend, please log in and set your chart nickname to your TB screen name. When you log into FF, there is a button on the left toward the top that says change nickname or set nickname. This makes stalking you so much easier!

Chknma- Welcome to LIW! Thanks for linking your chart. How are you doing this week?

rmpar29- Welcome to LIW! Are you still waiting on O or AF? do you temp/chart with fertility friend? Would you mind posting a short intro about yourself? I'd like to get to know you as much as I can.

AllieSchur- Welcome to LIW! Are you still in the 2ww or did AF show?

mmnumber5- How is recovery going for you? How is your week doing?

Soupy84- Any update from the lab on your furbabies biopsy? Have you started your vacation to Ontario?

soon2bmrsdaniel- How are you doing? Any sign of AF? Will you be charting next cycle?

Kountingsheep- So what did YH plan as your anniversary surprise? I hope you had a lovely anniversary!

MollySm- Looks like AF has left the bldg. Are the HPT's showing negative now?

Ashellypnut- Holding strong in the 2ww! I hope you aren't going crazy! What are you doing to keep your mind at ease? I saw in the Sept Check-in about the competitive feeling with a friend of yours. I know what you mean. Many of our friends have kids or are Pg and I feel left behind. It really sucks. I don't even want to be around the Pg ones.

ahenson818- Yay AF finally arrived! I bet you were very happy! Based on your post yesterday, it sounds like you have a game plan for this cycle. Will you be TTC this cycle?

Beth&Derek- So the +OPK finally showed up. I predict CH's for you soon. This is your last TTA cycle, correct?

princezjk- Still chugging along with the charting. No sign of O or AF, but post loss cycles are unpredictable. How are you doing?

Ksyknelvr-  Nice CH's my friend!  Do you feel good about BD timing this cycle?

SandSunBliss-  As we predicted those CH's have disappeared. So much EWCM, but no O! Maybe the nice temp drop this morning is an indication of O. I am impressed with you and YH ability to keep up the EOD BDing.

Scooteriste- I'm sorry AF blessed you with her unwanted presence. It looks like you are taking a temping break. Is the break for the entire cycle? Is it helping reduce stress?

Shandorfml2- I am frustrated for you! CD21 no +OPK, no temp spike! Grrr! I hope O comes soon for you. How are you doing otherwise? Did you start metformin yet? How did your Dr apt go?

Nyg2042- Yay for a +OPK! I think you will get CH's tomorrow with another high temp.  I hope you and YH enjoyed the easy BD schedule while on vacation.

MyFirstRaspberry- Hello Ladies! Happy Friday!

FeinBride09 and Serenla- Congratulations!  H&H 9mos! I am so happy for you two!

To any ladies not listed, be assured you have not been forgotten. I only list ladies who posted in the latest check-in. Feel free to join in!

Re: *~*~*Ladies In Waiting*~*~* (BFP warning)

  • Hi First Raspberry!  How are you today?!  Happy Friday back atcha lady!

SandSunBliss-  As we predicted those CH's have disappeared. So much EWCM, but no O! Maybe the nice temp drop this morning is an indication of O. I am impressed with you and YH ability to keep up the EOD BDing.

I am actually impressed with us too!  haha.  I wasn't convinced after last cycle that long cycles were my new thing since my first two were very short...so that's why we were going to start EOD at CD10.  But then we got frisky and started at CD8. LOL.  We are so busy over the next few days...I was really hoping for a big temp shift this morning...but as it lies, we will be BDing tonight and then I am guessing Sunday.  I hope I O soon because I am completely out of ways to keep things interesting at this point.  We have company this weekend, so maybe the sneaky quiet sex will be inspiring!  I have some EWCM everyday which is just annoying and not helpful for planning!  haha.  I am really just hoping that I do O - I am most nervous that I may not be Oing (b/c last month's chart wasn't that impressive really).  FX I have Oed by next check-in so I can stop whining about it!!

Question of the day:  What is the story behind your screen name? Do you love it? Do you hate it?

I chose my screen name because I love the beach and it makes me blissfully happy.  That's really all there is.  My DH is from the beach - we share that love.  I like my SN most of the time, unless I see one that makes me giggle - then I secretly wish mine was funny!

I want to hear your screen name story too!

((hugs)) to those that need them today

  • Hi Ras! Congrats to the two ladies with BFP....so awesome!

Shandorfml2- I am frustrated for you! CD21 no +OPK, no temp spike! Grrr! I hope O comes soon for you. How are you doing otherwise? Did you start metformin yet? How did your Dr apt go?

Doc went well. I started metformin yesterday. My doc is so amazing and positive. I also met with a nutritionist today and that was helpful as well. I'm looking forward to getting KU and healthy! Yeah, no +opk yet. Not to suprised as my earliest O was cd 23 since I've been charting. So hopefully, this week!

  • Hello Ladies! I believe this group is for me. My husband and I just found out we had a blighted ovum this was our first ever pregnancy. We are devastated by it but are looking forward to trying again when my next cycle shows up.
My DH and I had tried for over a year in 2011 and nothing happened I went to doctor and she.diagnosed me with PCOS I was only having 2 periods a year. We took a break and started again and that was when we got pregnant.

Currently I am waiting to miscarry I will start the pills hopefully tonight if my pharmacy can get them in. If they do not work I will have a DC. If this is not the right group for me I apologize.

Hi Ras- Congrats to our 2 grads and hugs for everyone that needs them this week.

Chknma- Welcome to LIW! Thanks for linking your chart. How are you doing this week?

it's funny to say that I'm happy to be here because of the situation, but i'm so grateful to have found TTCAL

this week is okay. almost out of our 2WW for our loss restrictions, then just waiting until next AF to get back to TTC. I didn't start charting after last loss until our TTC month, so even though I know this month's chart will be wacky, it's throwing me for a loop anyway. i let myself buy into FF saying I O'd CD 11 and that it might mean AF would possibly be coming earlier then last loss, but of course my temp dropped and my O date disappeared....oh well.

QOTW: I changed my screen name when I decided to join this board. my last name was too close to my personal email, plus i was paranoid out about TB accidentally letting my old tickers/siggy pics reappear and hurting someone unintentionally. I'm really not creative when it comes to these things so the SN and avatar are really just because we got chickens this spring and I'm a little obsessed with them.

Welcome. So sorry for your loss. This is exactly the right place for you, as is this board in general!  I haven't seen an intro from you posted on the main board yet.  If you haven't already, I would encourage you to do this so that all the ladies here can get to know you as you begin to participate here. • Hi Raz!  Hope you are doing well today!  Big congrats to feinbride and serenla!

princezjk- Still chugging along with the charting. No sign of O or AF, but post loss cycles are unpredictable. How are you doing?

I am charting away!  I am not convinced there was no O, because I really think there was some user error in my early days of charting.  I was not as consistent as I should have been.  I am a complete newbie with charting, but looking at my chart I wonder if I didn't O on CD17.  Just curious.  I wasn't going to start using OPKs until I was off the bench, but I am thinking I might practice with them my next cycle.  Just to see whats what.  I am hopeful AF will be showing up within the next few days, I am bloated, crampy, emotional and my skin is a wreck, so Fx!  Otherwise, I am doing ok.  How is everything with you?  Hope everyone has a great weekend and (((hugs))) to all that need them!

Question of the day:  What is the story behind your screen name? Do you love it? Do you hate it?

My screen name was my firs aol email address.  Its supposed to be a version of "princess" with a "z" and jk are my first and middle name initials.

  • Hi Ras! Happy Friday love! I hope you have had a good week (I'm stalking you on FF!) and that your weekend includes something fun <3

Congrats to FeinBride09 & Serenla!!! This gives me so much hope :)

Ummm, I'm totally going crazy over here! I've been working out-nothing nuts...I'm fat :( and I've been cooking & eating...I'm fat! So exercising and stuffing my face has been keeping me away from my hpts! As far as my friend, I had no idea that a little jealous beastie lived inside of me! I'm gonna need to b!tch-slap that beastie because I love my friend and want to be there for her!

Question of the day:  What is the story behind your screen name? Do you love it? Do you hate it?

An old boyfriend created it for me (15 years ago) and it just stuck...and I hate it...but it's original and easy when creating a username, ya know!? It's pronounced "a-shelly-p-nut" because my name is Michelle and he called me his peanut!

FX you O soon and can relax on the EOD BD schedule. I can relate to having difficulty finding ways to keep things spicy. It is a challenge!

I enjoy the beach too. I like how positive your screen name is.

My screen name story is a little depressing actually. I joined TB when I was Pg and the week I was at was the raspberry fruit week. So since it was my first pregnancy, I thought this is my first little raspberry... hence MyFirstRaspberry. Since then, I've learned to embrace the name because I think it is cute and I am still hoping for my first healthy little Raspberry.

Hi Ras! Happy Friday love! I hope you have had a good week (I'm stalking you on FF!) and that your weekend includes something fun <3

Congrats to FeinBride09 & Serenla!!! This gives me so much hope :)

Hi Ras!

QOTW:Its my maiden name email log in from college. Totally didn't know it was my display name or would have done something different.

How is metformin treating you? I heard it is rough on the stomach. Also, what did the nutritionist suggest to help with PCOS? I've heard a low carb, low sugar type diet is good for PCOS, although, I have not tried that.

GL for O this coming week!

Hi First Raspberry!

ETA: Major Congrats to FeinBride09 and Serenla. <3 you ladies!!!  I wish you both boring pregnancies!

This was my guess as to what your name stood for, but I wasn't sure. ((hugs)). I know you will get your raspberry rainbowSmile

It truely sucks that any AL type forum exists. I wish pregnancy loss never happened. But it is part of life and I'm glad to have this group of awesome ladies to understand and offer support when we need it.

You have chickens? Do you raise them? Where do they live? Do you own a farm? Sorry for all the questions, I'm closer to a city slicker/suburb type of girl and I've never seen chickens outside of a farm environment.

Hi Raz!

CD17 does show a significant temp spike. However, the low temps not long after CD17 are throwing me off. I do see a lot of open circles on your chart so it could be a little off. You are getting the hang of it though so when it really counts, you will good to go. I guess we will continue to patiently wait for AF to show.

Ohh so the princez is really princess... I didn't pick up on that. Cute play on words!

  •  Ras, thanks for doing the check in!  I feel like an idiot, but I cannot figure out how to change my FF nickname.  When I search how to do it, it gives a link but says it's only for paying members.  Any suggestions?  I hope you are doing well this week!

MollySm- Looks like AF has left the bldg. Are the HPT's showing negative now?

Yep!  I took one as soon as I got home last Friday - negative.  And then another one with FMU the next morning just in case, negative.   I haven't added it into FF yet, but I have had a little spotting yesterday and today :(  I just want to be done with it, not always having to wear a liner just in case.

Now it's the waiting game for me.  Before the MC, my cycle was a very regular 28 days, with strong O pains on day 14, and EWCM the few days leading up to that.  I have no idea what's going to happen now, but we'll start trying to focus on DTD and keeping an eye out for CM this weekend and into next week, in case it goes back to normal.   We'll see how long we have to wait.

I hope everyone else is having a good week.  Congrats to our grads!

QOTD : My screen name is my nickname, and the first two letters from my maiden name.  I don't love it, but I don't hate it.  I'm not super into things like that, so it doesn't really matter to me.

exactly how I feel about this board!

yep we have chickens- 10 of them. DH and I both lived in more suburban/city areas growing up. when we were ready to move in together/buy a house, we decided on a more rural county in the area. even though we have 2 farms on our street, we are 5 minutes from grocery shopping, target, etc. it's the perfect combo for us.  plus we were able to afford a little more land with a smaller house in this high COL area. closer neighbors might not have worked out with DH running his 4wheeler and chainsaw at all hours!

DH is a general contractor, so he build us a chicken coop/run. our neighbor gave us 6 hens and then we got 4 younger ones a few weeks later. they really are the easiest and least costly pet I've ever had. they're interesting to watch because we let them out every night to free range in our yard. we have been careful to avoid roosters because they are more likely to be aggressive. I didn't know much about chickens before we were getting ready to get them. there are so many different breeds with different feathering and different color eggs that leads me to think I could totally be crazy chicken lady one day with 100 chickens running around our yard. luckily DH has my interest in getting ducks and goats to hold over my head so I don't come home with any new chicks next spring!

  • Hi Raspberry!  I've been away way too long.  Was stuck on jury duty (forever) and then have been trying to deal with my latest TTC nightmare.

My medicated cycle backfired and I over-stimmed.  I am now awaiting egg retrieval tomorrow. We were forced to convert to IVF and I am beyond scared and freaked out.  This was not how we wanted this to go and are completely unprepared.  I don't want this, DH doesn't want this, but we are not willing to waste all of the good eggs I produced.  I'm heartbroken, yet relieved all in the same breathe,  I don't quite understand it.

Question of the day:  What is the story behind your screen name? Do you love it? Do you hate it?  Figgs was a nickname that I got from my maiden name.  0831 is my wonderful birthday.  Nothing fancy or fun.

I am super excited I got my CH's today! I think our timing was okay. We missed O day but hit the 3 days before so I guess it will be okay.

My screen name is so old and I hate it. It was bc I was a huge nascar fan and liked Kasey Kahne. I still like him but the screen name is a little silly.

Jasmine's results came back in the clear! It has been an anxious week waiting to hear back. Not on vacation yet. We fly out on July 28th, but my vacation officially starts July 26th. It will be a challenge, but I cant wait to see my family. They all know about our loss, but havent had to face me due to the physical distance. Nyg2042- Yay for a +OPK! I think you will get CH's tomorrow with another high temp.  I hope you and YH enjoyed the easy BD schedule while on vacation.

I think it's going to be difficult for FF to determine whether I O'd yesterday or the day before, but I have all of my usual post-O symptoms.  Either way, we should be good with timing.  Now we wait...I feel like this is what this process is all about.  waiting!

    Hi Raspberry!nbsp; I've been away way too long.nbsp; Was stuck on jury duty forever and then have been trying to deal with my latest TTC nightmare.nbsp;
My medicated cycle backfired and I overstimmed.nbsp; I am now awaiting egg retrieval tomorrow. We were forced to convert to IVF and I am beyond scared and freaked out.nbsp; This was not how we wanted this to go and are completely unprepared.nbsp; I don't want this, DH doesn't want this, but we are not willing to waste all of the good eggs I produced.nbsp; I'm heartbroken, yet relieved all in the same breathe, nbsp; I don't quite understand it.
Question of the day:nbsp; What is the story behind your screen name? Do you love it? Do you hate it?nbsp; Figgs was a nickname that I got from my maiden name.nbsp; 0831 is my wonderful birthday.nbsp; Nothing fancy or fun.
    nbsp;
    nbsp;

I was just thinking of you figgs! I haven't seen you much lately and I wanted to know how the injects went. Wow! I'm shocked too! Over stimming your way to IVF! That is a huge step! But what choice do you have other than canceling the cycle. I'm so sorry this cycle turned out like this. I'm hopeful the cycle can be salvaged but I can understand how scared you are. Hugs. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping the egg retrieval goes smoothly.

mmnumber5 How is recovery going for you? How is your week doing?

    Thanks for check in

Recovery is really easy I expected worse but I feel fine. My week was ok have to go to the doctor again. I really can't wait until my hcg goes back to zero.

I believe this is the only time in life when we want AF to arrive. I'm sure you are annoyed with going to the doctor so much lately. But it sounds like they are taking really good care of you. Take care of yourself! I'm so glad to hear recovery is going well for you.

Hi Ras!

QOTW:Its my maiden name email log in from college. Totally didn't know it was my display name or would have done something different.

Currently, most of my crossable appendages are spoken for, but I am still routing for you to O soon!  {maybe I can cross my eyes for you?}   GL with the metformin.  And let us know how you make out with the nutritionist.  I would love to meet with one too, did your OB refer you?

thanks :) No, my PCP referred me. She was really nice. I already feel healthier lol

Thank you for the check-in!  Hope all is well.

Now we wait...I feel like this is what this process is all about.  waiting!

Question of the day:  What is the story behind your screen name? Do you love it? Do you hate it?

NYG for the New York Giants.  I don't mind it, but I don't love it either.

FF is only as good as the temps we put into it. FF really has no eyes into our ute. It sounds like you feel confident that you did O. And you know best. So enjoy the 2ww! I hope she is kind to you.

Soupy84- Any update from the lab on your furbabies biopsy? Have you started your vacation to Ontario?

Jasmine's results came back in the clear! It has been an anxious week waiting to hear back. Not on vacation yet. We fly out on July 28th, but my vacation officially starts July 26th. It will be a challenge, but I cant wait to see my family. They all know about our loss, but havent had to face me due to the physical distance. I am in a good place in my mental recovery and hope our trip wont be marred by family constantly issuing their condolences.

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Wonderful news about the clear results on Jasmine's biopsy! I'm sure that anxiety was eating you up all week.

Kountingsheep So what did YH plan as your anniversary surprise? I hope you had a lovely anniversary! On Wednesday we hung out all day, went to his new school to pick up curriculum and then looked at a house to rent nearby. We've decided that as soon as our lease is up at our current apartment in Oct we are going to rent a house! Very excited, especially since the area we are looking to move has a lower cost of living. We are going up to Flagstaff tomorrow for the weekend. The surprise tonight wasn't going to work, so he's saving it for a later date. Also I am so so so happy that FF finally gave me crosshairs! I was starting to think I wouldn't ovulate this cycle, so glad that's over and can move on to my first AF since the MC. DH and I were pretty successful with the condoms and I was glad I had no allergic reaction to the non latex ones. I think we'll continue to use them the next few months during my FW. QOTD: my screen name is my avatar in the knitting community. I love knitting and I love sheep, so I changed "counting" to start with a "k" as in knitting. Now it's my regular screen name for everything.

Moving to a new home is very exciting! And a lot of work too!

    Have fun this weekend!

You mentioned you use FF. Can you link your chart in your siggy? I'd love to stalk you on a regular basis... if that doesn't creep you out Wink

It truely sucks that any AL type forum exists. I wish pregnancy loss never happened. But it is part of life and I'm glad to have this group of awesome ladies to understand and offer support when we need it.

You have chickens? Do you raise them? Where do they live? Do you own a farm? Sorry for all the questions, I'm closer to a city slicker/suburb type of girl and I've never seen chickens outside of a farm environment.

exactly how I feel about this board!

yep we have chickens- 10 of them.

Crazy Chicken Lady! hahaha.  Your feather-babies (?) sound awesome! I had no idea they were such easy pets!

Ras, thanks for doing the check in!

No, no. Don't feel stupid. You probably are not the only one who is unsure about the FF nickname feature. I found this thread where the girl linked directly to the nickname on FF. Give it a shot, it worked when I click on her link. I would log into FF within the same browser beforehand though.

    https://www.babycenter.ca/thread/207161/changing-nickname-on-fertility-friend---please-read-if-you-dont-know-how-to-do-it-

I am very happy to hear the HPT was negative for you... as bittersweet as that is.  It is another step forward for you.

  • imageBeth&Derek:

Beth&Derek- So the +OPK finally showed up. I predict CH's for you soon. This is your last TTA cycle, correct?

Finally. It was definitely at the usual time for me (my average O is CD 16), but I've never had so many *thisclose* to positive OPKs before. I'm hoping I get CHs for yesterday, but my temp definitely didn't spike as much this morning as it usually does after I O. Maybe this is my "new normal."  We'll see what happens, I guess.

Yes, we had decided to tta this cycle, but after almost 2 months without sex, we kind of over compensated this week and didn't really avoid at all.

Question of the day: What is the story behind your screen name? Do you love it? Do you hate it?

Mine's pretty self-explanatory. I signed up for TK as soon as we got engaged, so I made a sn using both of our names. I don't love it anymore, but I've had it for like 6-7 years, so I don't want to change it now.

I hope the over compensation was fun times! Wink

After a loss, there is no such thing as normal for many ladies. It really sucks to not understand your body like you thought you did. Seems like your cycle is pretty close though.

Mobile bumping Hi Ras!! Hope you're doin well!! Yes so happy AF is finally here. And i am trying my best to be prepared this cycle and do as much as I can to improve our chances. Can't hurt right?? Still have a lot to learn about charting, CM, etc but luckily I have an awesome group of supportive ladies to turn to when I have questions. Mobile smiley QOTD My name is my first initial and last name. Numbers represent our anniv August 18. So yes I LOVE it. Very happy memories and reminds me of our love for each other 3

Nope can't hurt to be prepared. And we are happy to help with your questions.

I mentioned this to Beth&Derek that there is no normal after a loss, so I want to forewarn you that things may not return to normal for you. Although, if I remember correctly, your cycles were irregular before.

    Thanks!  That worked, I think.

Link added to siggy, stalk away! Wink

    Yay Thank you!

Hi Ras!

Meformin is going ok so far! No tummy issues. The advice varies, and it's really confusing. Right now, the  nutritionist has me eating low-carb low sugar, high protien. I've read this before as being good for PCOS. However, I just started reading "food medicine" from the creators of "forks over knives" and they talk about PCOS as well, and how a vegan diet is best with high quality carbs (whole wheat,) and fruits and veggies, no dairy and no animal protien. So now I'm more confused. Though the book did talk about how especially dairy has estrogene in it, and how it can negatively impact the female reproductive cycle. I'll most likely be going slightly vegan with 2-3 servings of meat a week and avoid dairy as much as I can.
