***2IF Weekly Update***

The drought has finally been broken!  Yay for rcnavywife, who got a bfp this week!  I hope you will keep us all posted!

Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who is struggling, whether it is in the 2ww, or waiting to get to that point.  Hopefully rcnavywife will be the first of many bfps this month!

Please provide a brief summary of your IF history and current situation.  And welcome to the newbies who have just recently joined the 2IF board.  I hope you will join us here.

History:  TTC #2 since Aug 2010.  DD conceived easily after 3 tries in Oct 2009. Initially we were in the unexplained category but I recently had two cycles with elevated FSH, indicating that I have DOR.  With 6 failed IUIs and two cancelled IVF cycles under our belt, we opted to get a second opinion from another RE.  We have a follow-up appt with him on Sat (the first time we met with him, he had not yet received all my records from the other clinic co we have to go back).  Our best option may be a donor egg cycle so I've been spending a lot of time on the Third-party Reproduction board lately.  I never thought it would come to this.  When we first decided to see a RE, DH and I both agreed we'd try a few things but we'd draw the line at IVF.  Now, almost 3 years later, we have tried IVF and are considering a donor in order to complete our family.

QOTW:  DD is very into Super Why on PBS right now.  She gets really into it and it's really cute to see her sounding out things and finding all the "super letters".

DD conceived naturally in 2009.  TTC #2 since August 2010.  Praying for guidance as we decide what's next.

When the world says, "Give up,"

Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."

First of all, congrats Jen!!  That's great news!  I thought about mentioning you as a possible bfp, but was worried I would jinx you!  Can't wait to hear another update.

We've been trying since 12/10, and I'm 42 and missing a fallopian tube.  Four losses total, three since ttc #2.  Thyroid was a little higher than I guess some REs want to see (2.5), but my RE didn't do anything.  Also signs of endometriosis, again RE unwilling to do anything.  RE is awful, but we are in an HMO and can't afford OOP.  I think we are going to see if my OB/GYN can treat us (he is awesome).  We are about done anyways.  Feeling more defeated than I ever have.

QOTW:  DS is into sports in a huge way right now.  He is in golf camp this week, and swim lessons, just bought his first archery set, we've been practicing baseball at the park (he will be in a fall youth baseball clinic), frisbee golf, etc.

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

Hi all! I'm so excited to see bfp's. It gives me hope!!

We've been ttc #2 since 10/2011. No dice that whole time. I checked out fine the last time (in May) and DH is perfect. We started our first medicated IUI cycle with Follistim + Ovidrel. It was a mental hurdle to be poked, but it got easier, so thank you all for reassuring me when I was so freaked out! I'm 2dpiui... had two large follicles, one on each side, and DH's count was 50 million. It sounded like the "perfect" situation but I refuse to feel excited until we find out if it worked. Trying to contain the nerves!

My daughter has always loved being outside, but she's recently shown an interest in soccer. She kicks the ball with DH in the backyard every night and out of nowhere, she started dribbling, and really well! This comes as a huge shock for me - I was a 15-year competitive swimmer and have 0 land coordination. :)  She also loves Imagination Movers on Disney Junior (and calls them 'magamation mobers" it makes me laugh). Every age just keeps getting better. I adore her little personality! (When she's not throwing a fit... lol ;)  )

Thanks! Just talked to the nurse and their policy is to wait until 14dpiui for a beta, so guess I wait "patiently" for Friday! Which is actually only 13dpiui so I'll consider myself lucky :)

History: married in 2004, agreed to wait a couple years to enjoy marriage and get in our feet, 2005, decided long enough, go off bc and let nature take course, until that is injury from Army needs immediate surgery. Honorable medical discharge and surgery in 2006 had me back on bc to make sure didn't carry before healed. August 2006 am rear ended and results in damage to surgical healing basically broken neck, could not feel arms, legs going out... Pain.. Blah blah blah surgery fused two vertebrae together to stabilize and osteology the removal to reduce impingement on cord. Accident caused major pain to which took years to show how damage to spinal column led. Required another surgery which due to trying to have kid and my stubbornness, finally went through in Jan 2010 figured the pain and stress was making it so I couldn't get pregnant all other tests said I was gtg. Hubby got tested just in. Case so we could start trying again as soon as I was cleared from surgery. Found out he had about a million guys and most were slow, bad morphology and and motility. So referred to IVF specialist, didn't click, went to another, clicked, had a guarantee special program we jumped on board with and did retrieval in June. Positive beta which numbers low, ectopic and termination with rounds of shots. Devastated, had to wait to November for FET. Found out week before I was losing job by end if year as admin asst and there was a witch making my work life miserable on too, super steered and depressed and why I think that FET failed. Try again January 2011. Two eggs transferred just like prior times, both took!!! Feb hubby has surgery for varicocele repair. A week later ends up in ER from complications and I started bleeding a lot. Humorous part first husband seriously doped up on pain meds by iv, I needed progesterone shot, can't do in my rear myself, nurses won't do it bc I'm not patient, so hubs did totally blitzed from meds. So I get admitted and they do soon and find no heartbeats and tell my Father in law we were losing babies. They come in to tell me and I get mad and tell them we hadn't heard a heart beat yet it was too soon! So then they explain subchorionic hemmorhage. One of the little bubbles was growing much faster than the other and pulling the twin from wall creating pocket of blood. Later we did lose that baby. But in September gave birth to beautiful baby girl! She has been consistently 100th percentile, so she was like that since she was a bubble! Breastfeeding for 21, almost 22 months now but weaning. AF returned in January, been trying. Varicocele repair improved overall quality but not quantity. Chances are slim to nine at best on our own and we are waiting to gear back on our financial options to FET our last egg in fall or since we used six eggs and three procedures to get to babycakes, if after everything is said and done and we are going to spend money, start fresh based on our history and use last FET egg when we FET later and have younger eggs when we get to baby three in a few years we always wanted three kids, haven't quite given that up yet. Any fresh opinions on that?
QOTW: been bring babycakes in w me since born to potty, at 18 months got her her own "throne" just so she'd be comfortable with it and somewhere to sit now that she was insisting being in there w meTwo weeks ago she decided to start going in it sporadically. So last Tuesday got her training panties and two accidents later here we are, she decided done with baby potty and wants to climb on big potty and go like Mommy. So seeing lil pip squeak on big potty peeing with one fist in air yelling "WOOHOO pooPOO!" I cry laughing. When she poops she covers her mouth and gasps real fast and whispers, "poopoo???" Nut!! Oh, and if I dare try and go myself she pushes me off so she can go.

Our brief history: DS was conceived after 4 years of trying with MFI. During that time we did 2 IUI's.

DS is 18 months and absolutely loves everything Mickey Mouse!
He also likes to "talk" on the phone.
No comment on where he picked that up from! LOL

Congratulations to Jen also.  That's wonderful news!

Currently on 19th cycle TTC#2.  Conceived DS with no interventions after 8 cycles.  HSG and SA normal.  First RE appointment tomorrow after being given Clomid by my OB.  I'm 35.

QOTW:  Talking!  Oh my goodness, the boy is never quiet.  My mom says he reminds her of me at that age (he's 2 1/2).  Sometimes the things that come out of his mouth are just hilarious too.  He wakes up telling stories and goes to bed telling stories.  The only time he is quiet is when he's sleeping, and even then he'll sometimes talk in his sleep.

    TTC #2 since 1/2012

History:  Met DH at college in 1999, married after he finished grad school in 2004.  We began ttc in 2006, and after first seeking infertility help in a small community and having a doctor that really didn't know what he was doing in terms of treating infertility, we finally began anew and got pointed in the right direction.  DH had vericocele repair surgery in early spring of 2009, and by late summer we had our BFP.  After 3 years of ttc, we were so happy.  Even though I was exclusively bf, I got my period back at 3 months pp.  So we began ttc immediately.  Now over 3 years later, we are still ttc #2.  Just had our 2nd iui performed, yesterday.  We spent an entire summer last year with my body not cooperating for us to try iui.  Finally, last fall we managed to do our first iui.  Then the next cycle, dh developed epilepsy.  That put ttc on hold for over 6 months.  We are finally able to get back to ttc.  Hoping that it happens quickly.

QOTW:  DD is into lots of things.  First she is a princess...even introduces herself as "Princess Isabel."  She also wants to be a ballerina.  And is obsessed with La La Loopsey, Super Mario Bros., Princesses (of course), and pretty much anything 'girly'.

DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

    TTC #2 since 6/2010
    10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013.
DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair.
Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies.
    Wishing, hoping, waiting.

Hi Ladies! Sorry I've been MIA for so long. It's been an absolute roller coaster lately. Also sorry to all our grads about being MIA for the grad check ins but I saw you started one on PAIF and I've been lurking there to check up on all of you.

Update:  I am in the middle of stims for my forth IVF cycle and ET looks like its going to be Monday. This is a clinical trial and almost 100% OOP which is great because we just got a massive bill from my Laproscopy in May that wasn't covered 100% like we had thought. Sigh. I've just been pretty down but am trying to stay positive about this cycle. I'm pretty sure it's going to be our last one and just praying for success.

QOTW:  DD is OBSESSED with stickers right now! Morning to night that's all she wants to play with.
