But seriously, be careful with sit ups. As your baby grows, it pushes your abs apart - some people can actually feel the space that forms between their left and right sets of abs. You can cause serious damage if you strain too hard when your ab muscles are separated. Same goes for returning to sit ups PP before your abs have returned to their normal position.
Also be careful when laying flat on your back for sit-ups for similar reasons we aren't supposed to sleep on our backs anymore. I still do planks and side planks pretty intensely, but have avoided sit-ups since I hit the second semester.

I don't even do that - I basically roll out of bed onto my feet these days.
