Do you mind telling people your age? 

I don't mind saying I'm 34 almost 35, but I know some people get hesitant about sharing how old (or young) they are.

    I don't anymore. When I first had DD I felt a little bit self-conscious about telling other Moms because I always seemed to be the youngest. (I was 24 when I had her, so not super young but it seems most of the parents of kids her age that I meet are a good 10 years older.) I'll be 28 in 2 weeks!

    This! I was 23 when I had DD1 and I joined a local Moms club- I was the youngest.  It was weird at first but they never treated me different or like I didn't know anything. They are always helpful! :) I will be 26 come November!

    Couldn't care less. DH will always be 6 years older than me, so that is enough for me.

    I am hesitant to tell people. I feel like I am on the young side and when people hear I SAH, I'm afraid of the judgment. Someone said in the fffc that I was projecting judgment, which I probably do a lot, but it still makes me uncomfortable.

    I'm 32.  I  don't care about telling anyone, but I cringe inside when I say it, because I almost can't believe I'm not 25 anymore.

    What the heck?  15 years ago, 32 was ancient.

    And your DD is 18 months? And your DS is 3mo or so? So - you conceived your DD when you were 15 and your SO was 24? Yeah - illegal in every state. If I was your mother, his a$$ would be in jail, not married to you.


    He was charged because my mom pressed charges but then changed her mind , he didn't do time but he's on probation for 4 years and is a registered sex offender :

    Just came to check out this board since I quit my job and just enjoyed my first week at home with my LO.

    I am 43 though I was 42 when my LO was born.(dh is 58 btw)  My oldest is 21yo and my middle child is 16yo. I was a sahm from 1998-2003 as well.

    To answer OPs question, I have never minded telling adults my age -- kids yes, but not those over 18ish.

    Yes I love him , just because he's a registered sex offender for sleeping with me doesn't mean he's out looking for little girls , and were open about our relationship with anyone and everyone if they ask . He's not ashamed for loving me and having our kids with me either . But I do understand why it would upset people , I mean I have a daughter and it would be really hard for me not to think the same as you ladies .

    I am 40 and have no problem telling my age.  I never minded at any age and probably never will.  I don't understand why people get dramatic about it

    It depends. If it's a stranger I'm hesitant to share my age for privacy / security reasons. If it's a friend or even acquaintance I'm all about telling them my age because I seriously look 18. lol. I'm NOT a teen mom! I swear! I'm in my mid-20s.

    I don't mind IRL at all but I haven't shared my age on here because I feel like I would be judged for being so young. I will be 23 August 6th. Sometimes IRL is makes me uncomfortable when someone finds out DS1 (who's my stepson) is 4 and I'm 22.
