  The best advice I ever got was to NEVER wake a sleeping baby.  I've done it twice, once by accident, and she was an overtired beast the rest of the day. If they're sleeping, they need the rest.

  A 5 hour nap? Maybe. A 3 hour one? No way! That is still well within the normal range. DD1 would have an occasional 3.5 hour nap up until she was 20 months. I called it heaven.

  Nope! Yesterday DD slept from noon until 4. Still went down fine at her usual bedtime- 6:30/7! It was AWESOME!
