Veins on the side of the head...PIP

So, there is a huge vein on the side of my son's head. The pedi hasn't said anything about it, the only reason why I am bringing it up now is because I see an additional branched out vein from the main one that is showing. 

Right now looking at him I can see veins everywhere on his head, but it doesn't seem to be a problem for him. Anyone else deal with this? Is the veins all throughout his head showing normal?

The one that is pictured is the only dark blue/purple one. The rest are lighter blue and seem to be getting covered more as he puts on more weight. 

You have to kinda look at it from an angle to see it good.

    My DS is sleeping on me right now and he's got the same sort of thing. My DS1 has a massive vein on his eyelid since he was born and I asked the doctor and she said, it's just the way his veins are. No big deal.

    DS has these. I'm pretty sure it's normal.  Maybe babies just have thinner skin that allows their veins to be more visible?

    My son has the same thing and my sister has two babies that actually had very visible veins above their noses between their eyebrows and they have disapeared as they have been growing. I do think they go away with weight gain.
    Your son looks beautiful.

    My LO has the same thing plus the vein between his eyes when I asked the pedi about it they said it was not a big deal and would go away once he got bigger. I have noticed that as he has gained weight, he was a little guy when he was born, they have gotten less pronounced.

    Their skin is soo thin, I can see a big vein on DS's head too

    Yep, he has the one between his nose as well.
