Freezer broke, milk stash is gone

Got back from vacation and went down to the chest freezer today to get milk for DS for daycare tomorrow and the freezer was room temp and all the frozen milk was liquid. Must have been for a few days because it smelled like bad milk too. I just lost milk from all of april thru mid june. Thankfully I have some bags in our regular freezer or else I wouldn't even have enough to send him to daycare tomorrow. I'm angry and sick to my stomach about this. All that milk and hard work...gone.

Sorry that you had to come home from vacation to all your hard work down the drain. Stay focused...you'll build up a stash again!
I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart. I would be livid, as I have a pretty hefty stash since I've been pumping since LO was a week old to combat my original oversupply. Everytime there's a thunderstorm I pray we don't lose power!
I think I'm either having pp hormones still or about to start my period because this made me cry.
I can't even imagine.
Trying to look on the bright side and at least I still have a slight oversupply. I pump at midnight just for relief for only 5 mins to combat mastitis, which I'm susceptible to. So I'm going to keep that up, and increase the pump time. And for the 3 weeks I've been back at work, I've pumped more than DS ate at daycare each day. So that's something to hold on to. I just worry because I've heard of a lot of women who's pumping supply dropped after some time when they returned to work. And now my "security blanket" of milk is gone. Trying not to despair and hold on to the hope that I'll just slowly build back up. Maybe I didn't really need all that milk? And now DS will get fresher milk I guess...
