C-sections

c section because i have 2 extremely small cervices

Anyone have a c section because they have 2 cervices? I had a complete uterine septum with cervical duplication. I have had 4 surgeries to fix the uterine septum but they do not try to fix the cervices due to pregnancy complications. Anyway I was told by my 3 REs I would have to have a c section due to the number of complications associated with this. Anyone else have a c section due to 2 cervices?

Re: c section because i have 2 extremely small cervices

  • Dang, aren't our bodies amazing? I had a c-section because my hips didn't like to move. Three days in induced labor, 9cm dilated, and baby never bothered to drop. I will say that the c-section was exactly right for us. I know sometimes it feels like yet another way your body lets you down but either way you will end up with a beautiful new life.

Good luck! Enjoy that LO and be thankful that they are healthy and happy.

  • ahh that is a long time to be in labor!! Thank you for your response :)

  • thank you all for the responses. i am very ok with a c section since i know it is the best thing for me. i have an ongoing list of positives like i will know the day, less chance for erbs palsey  (my nephew had all his nerves in his neck severed they pulled him so hard to get him out of my sister), my sister bled for almost  a year after giving birth due to that delivery, haha i just keep thinking about my sisters 55 hour labor with a 10 lbs 13.5 oz baby :)

Not me, but a good friend of mine has this condition.

She delivered emergently at 30 weeks. She was able to carry her second child to 34 weeks.

Her C section wasn't any different than mine, as far as incision and recovery.
