So I found out I was pregnant a couple of days ago. I took the tests on the day I was supposed to get my period and the only symptoms I really had were sore breasts and bloating but I didn't think much of it. Anyways...for the past week or so I have not been able to sleep at all. I wake up hours before I normally do and can't go back to sleep no matter how hard I try. I've been getting maybe 6 hours of sleep a night and when I wake up I don't feel like I've slept at all. I end up having to take naps during the day because I'm so tired but taking naps just keeps me up later so it's not really helping. I know fatigue is a common pregnancy symptom but if I can't get sleep I will seriously be the crankiest b on the planet. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? DH said to take NyQuil but that's obviously not a good remedy lol
I have major sleep issues, pregnant or not. Benadryl is safe, but I am always worried about making a habit out of it. I don't want to rely on it to help me sleep. But nights that I have headaches(pretty often during pregnancy) I take Tylenol PM.

Lol...all Tylenol PM is, is Tylenol with Benadryl in it!
Do you walk often or work out? I've found that walking during the day helps get the blood flowing so I don't feel so tired. Might help you sleep better at night too.
I've never tried any of these, but my mother swears by them, you can try one or all of them- work out during the day, eat half a banana before bed, and drink a glass of warm milk. I do like a little herbal lavender chamomile tea to help me relax before bed. Hope you find something!
