We met the boy we were going to adopt yesterday. He has more severe medical needs than we expected. Poor little guy was born at 24 weeks and all of his issues are related to prematurity.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to adopt him. Very difficult time for us. We could try to adopt another child, but right now we are just wanting to go home. Leaving tomorrow.

What country are you in? I hope you make it home safely, and that the poor little boy doesn't know what a sad thing has just happened, and that he can get the help he needs. Big hugs!
We didn't work with an agency, but the place that helped us has a team in country that helps us. This country is way behind and things aren't done the way they need to be. A woman had met him last year and told us what she knew, but either she withheld information or didn't know about his other conditions (not sure). If we had known we never would have even started this process. I'll let everyone know more once we get home safely more. Just want to go home right now.
