BM storage question?

I have some BM that has been in the fridge for 6 days can I freeze it now or no? I ended up not needing as much as I thought.

I think it's okay. I am pretty sure it is fine if you freexe it within 6-8 days. I have frozen BM after a couple of days. I think I read something somewhere that you should try to use that milk sooner than milk you froze right away.

I don't think it is ok. BM is only good for 68 days in the fridge anyway. I suggest checking kellymom.

Here is a website where I found some info. It says 72 hours is best. I hope that helps! I keep finding differing information on this topic and I'm not exactly sure why. You would think there would be set standards for storage but I guess there's not.

I think up to 8 days is OK, but within 3 days is best. Smell it...if it smells OK, I'd freeze it

As long as it smells good, it's ok. Next time I would try to avoid keeping it in the fridge for that long, though, just to be safe.
