I am going to a birthday party in a few weeks for a friend's daughter, who is turning 2. I have no idea what to get. This girl has a ridiculous wardrobe already so I don't want to buy more clothes. I'd really like to get something relatively practical rather than just a toy of some sort. Any suggestions?
I've been giving tickets to events lately for birthdays - like to the zoo, butterfly museum, children's museum, day out with Thomas, etc. I usually included a little toy to go with it (like a little stuffed monkey with the zoo tickets)
Another good idea are things that need to be replaced; like art supplies and bath toys (including bubble bath & color tabs).
You could always get her some "boy-ish" toys like trains, trucks, legos, etc. Unfortunately little girls don't get these often and they love playing with them just as much as the boys.
Re: I know questions like this have been asked a million times
I always like to give books when I'm at a loss. They're good at any age!
Maybe coloring books and some crayons/markers as well?
I would do this too. Or age appropriate puzzles? When I am at a loss I look for something somewhat educational.
