Beach gear

We are taking a family trip te beach when LO is7 weeks old.

We obviously don't plan on having him on the beach for extended periods of time but can any of you recommend a great tent/canopy to use when we are there. I need something that will block the sun and something that will keep him cool not block the wind

I have not tried this personally but have been told about it. But you could go and buy just a small child's tent and use that. All sides are covered so the wind and sand won't be an issue and I think it will prevent UV rays better than an umbrella.
