Rolling over in crib

My dd is rolling over in her crib then wakes and cries. She is finally asleep but has rolled over onto her stomach. Should I roll her back over or is it okay for her to sleep like this.

Re: Rolling over in crib

  • DS does the same thing, I can't wait for him to learn to roll from his tummy to his back so he'll stop waking up and getting frustrated.  You can let her sleep on her belly.  If she's rolling, then she has the neck strength to keep herself from suffocating.

  • DD just started doing this a week ago so we stopped swaddling. She is a belly sleeper now!

  • Us too. DD seems to sleep better on her tummy, but as always we put her down on her back, she rolls over herself. The first few mornings she woke up screaming, but now she's fine.
